Hi All,

Is it okay to target blacklisted emails when the brand wants to tell the consumers about loyalty program upgrade and wants them to use their existing points?

PS: It's a retail client.

Hi Aditya,

Are you talking about blacklist from nmsAdress or Do no contact by Email (blacklistEmail) from nmsRecipient?

If it's the do not contact by Email, you can send a communication related to their profile (points expiration, status changes, profile update, password update/forgot)

if it's blacklist from nmsAddress, then you should not contact as it means their email address are incorrect or have an issue with ISPs.

Thanks,

David

Hi Aditya,

In general, it would not be advised to email blacklisted customers. ISPs do not know why you are emailing or what you are emailing in that level of granularity and would likely see a client's emails to blacklisted clients as spam and block their IP.
