How can we add count of recipients records as a field in excel sheet using workflow.

We have a requirement where a workflow should be created to track(trailer record) count of entries in an excel sheet which contains recipient data being extracted.

It would contain the count of records for our validations whether all records are processed successfully.

We have created a workflow where we fetch recipient records in excel sheet. Could you please suggest us a solution how can we include this trailer record in excel sheet that marks the end of the file.
