Tracking a delivery link with no destination

Is there a way to set up some delivery urls what will track a click, but not open a web page?

We would like to include some type of "rate my experience" element into some of our service emails, probably with an image of 1 to 5 stars. The complication is that management doesn't want it to direct anywhere and be handled completely in the email. I guess it would be 5 links (one for each star) embedded in each image.

My searching isn't showing any out of the box solution. But I wondered if anyone has found a way to accomplish this.

Hi @michaelel1, 

 

Inside Adobe technically, there's no way to track a clik without sending the user to a URL, since tracking requires a redirect through the tracking server. Something that comes to my mind as a workaround will be to link each star to a blank landing page that gathers the click, udpates the rating value in AC, and then closes or shows a simple thank-you message. This will keep the interaction while storing the response.
