Allow end users access to the Alert Technical Delivery Templates

Avatar

Hi,

Our end users make use of the Alert workflow activity. This is however located in Administration > Campaign Management > Technical Delivery Templates folder which most end users won't have access to and therefore if they try to use the Alert activity it fails due to lack of permissions.

Is there a way to allow access to this and similar Technical Delivery Templates? Or is it a case of moving it elsewhere?

I think I have a solution.

If I give all the read/write access rights to the various required subfolders in the administration area, then add the end user group to the top level administration folder but untick all of the read/write/delete options it seems to allow me to hide the administration folder from the explorer view, but allow the alert activity to function correctly

Hi @AlistairKi ,

Navigate to /Administration/Campaign Management/Technical delivery templates/ folder > Right click the folder > Properties.. > Security > add the operator groups and provide them 'Read data' access rights.

Thanks. I guess the part I thought I had mentioned was that I don't want the end users to be able to view the administration folder and various subfolders. If I give them read only rights they can still see it

That doesn't hide those folders from the explorer view.

I want the end users to be able to use the alert activity, without them being able to view and access the administration area in explorer
