Description - When Filtering logs(syslog, wfserver, mtachild etc.) in Adobe Campaign Classic Monitoring, it allows restricting logs based on data only. While analyzing an issue of the recent past it returns loads of records for a day and one has to click "Display next results" many times. Having the ability to filter based on time stamps with make life much easier.

Why is this feature important to you - This feature is important to me as I look into Prod issues and having the ability to check logs from monitoring helps narrow down the issue.

How would you like the feature to work - I would like the feature to work with the ability to filter logs with both date and time stamps.

Current Behaviour - Can only filter based on date.

Hi @Deb_Tripathy

You can use different functions available to create different parts of the timestamp.
ex.

Hour Returns the hour of the date

Hour(<date>)

Minute Returns the minutes of the date Minute(<date>)

Second Returns the seconds of the date Second(<date>)

For your refernece.

That's a good and helpful suggestion @Deb_Tripathy

I think you should raise a support ticket and ask the support team if they can create a Feature Enhancement Jira for this so this idea of yours can be passed to product engineering who may then decide if they can develop/enhance the existing feature of filtering logs.

Hi @Deb_Tripathy

Just a suggestion, you can create a simple workflow using query to get the desired results and the javascript functions.

Thanks @Shubham_Goyal__ . Will raise this with support.

@AkshayAnand can you pull data from syslog, weblog etc. in a workflow? I would be intrigued to know.

Thanks,

Deb

Hello @Deb_Tripathy

You can read the log files in the workflow like this.

Once the data is available, you can create a format as you like and save it in a schema to query with a timestamp

Thanks, @_Manoj_Kumar_ for the suggestion, really helpful.

Coming back to the main content of this post, it would be very helpful to have the ability to filter logs based on timestamps instead of the just date.

Thanks,

Deb
