Why visit and exit metric shows same number for entry page dimension?

Hi all, 

One aspect of 'exit' and 'visit' metric that i am confused with is why they both are showing same number for 'entry page' dimension? What can be the possible justification behind this?

Also, if I breakdown page name with entry page then the visit and exit metrics show different numbers which are not equal. Which exact concept am i missing on. Can someone help me with this.

Firstly, thank you for providing the information. But the thread was talking in context with the day dimension. Does the 'entry page' has the same reason?

@manpreet1 When you use Entry Page as dimension than the Visits, entries and exits will be same for each entry page listed.
