Hi,I have not found how to do what I want in the AEM documentation or in a tutorial...Is there a way to retrieve the data of a social component in a structured way? I know that I can retrieve specific nodes in the repository, but I need to figure out how the social component is implemented in the repository (nodes structure).Is it possible to get the forum and its posts for example. What would be the best method to do this (JCR API, Sling, AEM API)?Thanks,Matthieu

We have a requirement where we need to add a custom header with dynamic value for .pdf requests we thought of below options:1) Create a filter and intercept the request.2) Rewrite the url to add custom selector in dispatcher, so that my custom servlet will be resolved.Can you please suggest us if you have any other efficient solution to achieve this.

Hi there,There is a difficulty case to me:  i wonder if there is a API to get locale code. E.g., when i get node "/content/geometrixx/fr/products/square",  the API could return the "fr"(french); and when i get node "/content/geometrixx/en/services/banking", the api could return the "en" (English). Anyone could help that? Hi,I'm new to AEM development and I have some doubts on the flow for developing websites using it.Let's say we have a company site, that has the following structure:HomeProductsProd1Prod2ServicesService1Service2ContactOn the Products page we will list the child product pages and display some information about the product.Let's say that I'd like to start with the Products page, for me it is not clear what would be the best practice  on where I would grab the product information from. What is the better:Extend the page dialog component to add the product properties, so I can consider when listing the product that the properties will come directly from the page;Consider that the product's properties would be stored in a component in a node under the product detail page; For me using this approach leads me to start by the product detail page instead of the product list. Am I wrong with this?Any considerations on this will be helpfull.Thanks,Francisco

Hi experts ,I have two questions. Our client is launching new sites with AEM and we need to ensure tracking. I personally would like to use DTM integration and have Adobe Analytics configured within DTM but do not see a lot of use cases. What would you suggest? The DTM integration or the SiteCatalyst CQ5 integration?Also do these integrations ensure ALL tracking through AEM? Does that mean hook DTM with AEM and configure all events , eVars and sprops through AEM or we have to do things outside of it too? Sorry am very new to AEM and don't exactly know how it works?Esp for DTM - does any code (header and footer) go anywhere or it all works through the APi token/DTM bundle etc? Please help-any insight would be much appreciated!Thanks!

Hi All,We have extended DAM asset editor and added a number of extra metadata other than the default ones.We also enabled lock/unlock feature for assets.When we lock the asset and another user other than the owner opens the asset in asset editor the OOTB metadata fields are disabled/non-editable.However, the custom metadata filed are not disabled.We can enter some text in these fields.Though the "Save" button is disabled in this case , the user can not really add some value in these fields. But it is a UI bug for us.Can you please suggest how to make custom fields disabled too ?

I am following the guidelines on http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/deploy/upgrade/queries-and-indexing.html to set up remote solr search server.I have set up the recommended configuration and after creating aemsolr1/node1 and aemsolr2/node2 folders I am trying to start the first shard by using      java -Xmx2g -Dbootstrap_confdir=./cfg/oak/conf -Dcollection.configName=myconf -DzkRun -DnumShards=2 -jar start.jar However this gives error "[coreLoadExecutor-6-thread-1] ERROR org.apache.solr.core.CoreContainer  û Error creating core [oak]: Could not load conf for core oak: Plugin init failure for [schema.xml] fieldType "pint": Error loading class 'solr.IntField'. Hello Guys,I was testing the Live Copy Sync option in AEM 6.0 by referring to http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/sites/multi-site-manager/msm-sync.html I can see that there is no OOTB Rollout Configuration for node Creation.If a page node gets created on Blueprint, I want this newly created page node to be available on Live copy using synchronization actions. Can anyone help me out here?. Thank You.

Hi,I was going through the docs http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/touch-ui/touch-ui-concepts.html to understand the concepts of Granite UI. One thing that i saw was difference between Granite UI and ExtJs. That differences are not much explanatory specially for those who are new in AEM. Hello,I am trying to integrate DTM with AEM. I went through the documentation at http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/integration/marketing-cloud/dtm.html and another question in the forum related to this: http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager.topic.html/forum__uwfu-im_trying_totestth.html. I have gone through the release notes as suggested in the solution for the forum question but was not able to find anything related providing access to request an API Token. My user account settings in the DTM does not have the API Token or a way to request it. Am I missing something or am I going down the wrong path in getting access to the API Token?Thank You.

In 5.6.1 SP1 when one configures the "Apache Sling Resource Resolver Factory" "URL Mappings" parameter, such as adding new outgoing mappings, links that are written inside of JSP components (such as the href of an <a> tag) automatically have "ResourceResolver.map" applied to them to have the mapping applied.Doing the same configuration in 6.0 SP2, This no longer seems to be occurring.I've verified in testing with /system/console/jcrresolver that the mapping is applied correctly according to my expectation.Are sling mappings no longer applied to JSP generated content automatically and need to be manually applied, or is there some new configuration option that needs to be enabled for this functionality now?

Hi All,Is it possible to create Sling Rewrites for DAM asset paths?  For instance, I'd like to rewrite the path to all images in my html.   By default the html looks like this:<img src="/content/dam/products/shirt.jpg" /> But, I'd like to rewrite the path so it looks like this: <img src="/assets/products/shirt.jpg" /> I've added the following rule to the Resource Resolver Factory: /content/dam(.*)</asset$1 And included this as a Rewrite Element in the Link Checker Transformer: img:src But the rewrite doesn't get applied at all.  I've tried editing the configurations in both via the Felix console and the repository.  But, no luck.  Does Sling apply to the DAM?  Or is there another preferred way to achieve the same result?

We have written our own picture component to display renditions based on the user's device size. Hi All, I'm experiencing some index corruption in an AEM 5.6.1 author production index. I can't replicate it locally or on staging instances that mirror the production environment. The problem occurs intermittently when moving an asset in a custom workflow process via Session.move(). The move operation doesn't generate any exceptions and the asset is properly moved to its new location. For example, workflowSession.getSession().move(oldPath, newPath). After the (silent) corruption JCR queries return strange results that include both the old location and the new location of the assets. The query results are extra strange because they return the old path even when the query specifically should only search under the new path. For example, suppose the old path is /content/dam/oldassets/asset1.jpg and the new path is /content/dam/newassets/asset1.jpg. And then in CRXDE I do this XPath query: /jcr:root/content/dam/newassets//*[jcr:contains(., 'asset1')] I'm specifically restricting the search

Hi,Currently I am working on CQ5.5 and planing to migrate in AEM 6.0.May I proceed with the below mentioned approach -1. Create a package in package manager with following package filters in CQ5.5-     /apps/myapp, /content/mywebsite,/content/dam/mywebsite and /etc/designs/mywebsite2. Upload the above mentioned package in package manager in AEM6.03.
