Hi All,In order to obtain a session, final SlingRepository repos = sling.getService(SlingRepository.class); and session = repos.loginAdministrative(null); is used in the article https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/using-ajax-requests-display-cq.html . But I read somewhere that loginAdministrative is now deprecated. Can you please let me know, some of the other ways in which a session can be obtained.

I have a requirement where I need to override the asset download functionality in AEM 6.1 (OOTB sample page to download assets : http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/geometrixx/en/company/press.html) to provide the user with other video formats, so that the video can be downloaded to the selected format.Example : .mp4 file can be converted to .flv file while downloading. Is there a way to convert video into different formats in CQ5. If I am not wrong , I hope we can use FFmpeg but client is not having license to that. Please let me know if there are some other ways to that. Also if there is any open source API’s are present in java for the same please let me know which might help out to resolve my issue to some extent.

Hi All,In the article https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-cq-feed-components-display.html ,data from twitter is retrieved by adding some javascript code to the AEM component.Doubt as below :1] What I thought was to get data from any 3rd party system, we have to make some REST or other calls. How is it that things are working here? I mean, I was not able to exactly understand this.Any thoughts on this will be helpful.

Hello All,I am writing two eventListener methods in activate method with two different paths. The event is not getting fired when I have both methods, but will work fine only if one method is used. Thanks,Vish

Demo version of DPSI have a project that originally had one article in the default collection. The article was a converted HTML page using the HTML article packager. The Preflight app worked and I was able to see that article. After changing the entire project and clicking the update Preflight button, it will not update. The project image finally update about 2 days later. However, the original article is still there and all other collections / articles are not.I have went as far as deleting the original article and it still shows. From what I have read you can't delete a project to start over.So how do i get it to update?Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi All, I have a question about Marketo landing pages and I'll try to explain it as clearly as possible; I hope it'll make sense in the end! Namely, I created a LP (let's call it LP1) with a form for an event sign up, however, I forgot to link it to the event in GoToWebinar and you can only do this once there aren't any members in the group (and when I noticed it was too late, as we've already had sign ups.) Anyway, putting this aside, I created a new LP2 with a form that was nicely integrated with GoToWebinar. Unfortunately, some emails had already gone out with the link to the previous LP1 which means that the registrations don't show in GoToWebinar (I've filled them out manually). My question is, is there a way to redirect one link to another LP in Marketo? So that, even if someone has a link to LP1 it will redirect them to LP2?Hope this makes sense! Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance!Joanna

Our triggered email AB tests keep on running even after declaring a champion, anyone knows how to handle it?

I performed an in-place test upgrade of my 6.0 Author and Publish servers (two separate servers with the standard ports of 4502 and 4503 respectively) to 6.1.  We were already on the new crx3 instead of crx2 since the 6.0 servers were brand new.  The Author server did just fine, all my content is there.  However, my Publish server seems to have wiped out all the content, dam, and apps - it did leave the custom map.publish script in place as well as custom packages, so it didn't appear to completely wipe out the old installation.  I tried the upgrade first by renaming the AEM_6.1_Quickstart file to cq5-publish-p4503 (the same as the old jar file) with this result.  Then I brought up another clone of the server and did the command line upgrade (java -jar aem_6.1_quickstart -r publish) with the same result.  The Upgrade log files show that it was performing an upgrade and not a fresh install.  As we have 3 large websites and don't want to have to push all those pages and images from Autho

Hi, in the mobile carrier report we have two items, one "Not distinctive" the other "unknown". What is the difference between the two and how are they generated?

Hello,My company just migrated from classic to the new workflow. In Test & Target, I was able to set up a redirect offer with parameters: www.mysite.com would redirect to www.mysite.com?parameter=valueThe new workflow doesn't allow me to add the ?parameter=value when creating a redirect offer or redirect experience action. Is this supposed to be this way? If so, this is a huge part of what we do as a company.I have two questions:1. I see all of our classic campaigns are imported into Target. When I edit them, it takes me to Test & Target. Will I still be able to access these campaigns in the months/years to come? 2. If I can access the old campaigns, via Test and Target, the above scenario about URL parameters still works. If that goes away, how can I redirect to a URL with parameters? Thanks!

Hi All,In the article http://blogs.adobe.com/experiencedelivers/experience-management/clientlibs-explained-example/ it says, "CSS resources have to go in the <head>, Javascript resources at the end of the page".I was not quite able to understand why is this the case. Any thoughts on this will be helpful.

We have a dialog to select pages or assets from the content tree using the xtype pathfield. The purpose of the selection is to create a link on a page. Since assets are saved with the extensions, and pages aren’t, the link correctly directs the user to the assets, but not to the pages (because the page url doesn’t have the HTML extension).  These are the solutions we considered so far::1 - linkPattern property in the dialog, to automatically append the HTML extension to the selected node. The problem is that it is also applied to assets, resulting in a wrong path (e.g. /content/dam/mysite/photo.jpg.html).2 - Rewrite URL for page requests, using Apache (/content/mysite/home -> /content/mysite/home.html). It would fix the problem, but since we have a shared environment, we try to avoid  any solutions that may affect other sites.3 - Using https://sling.apache.org/documentation/the-sling-engine/mappings-for-resource-resolution.html. It would map extensionless urls and redirect to the co

HI am delopying our app on both android and IOS in the same secure webpage as 2 links.I am using the documentation from the older DPS and it is working for IOS.what do i need to do different for the Android? Is there a reference article?

I noticed that new alt images that I have uploaded into scene7 are not displaying. This is only happening for the ones I uploaded this week. Other alt images uploaded before this week are ok.I have reviewed the images themselves and can find nothing wrong. My site is still displaying the alts from before this week, which leads me to believe this may be a scene7 issue. Is anyone else encountering this? Or have a fix?Thank you,Jessi
