I'm new to the new Email Program type and I just had a question about membership and Smart Lists! Question 1:  How does the Email program determine who is a member?  Is membership based on who is sent the email? or who opens the email?  It shows on the dashboard for example - Sent Emails 8381 Delivered 8298 But then my Members of the program are:  8391? I have 10 more then were sent?  Question 2 -   I did a Whole Email A/B test on this email program and if I wanted to send a follow up email to the people that did not open, I notice my individual emails that I tested won't be found in the drop down ... it only has the option of My Email Program.Whole Email Tests. My Question is - does this include all the people that did not open both my emails whether during the testing period and also if they received the winning email?    Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

Hi everyone,We have some emails in the cadence going every Tuesday. We want to use new ones with a new template but the same content. I am thinking to replace the original emails in the cadence with new onces. But, I am wondering if  the system will treat the new emails as the old ones, and will keep the people in the same wait step? For example, I replace Email 1 with Email 1.1 and Email 2 with Email 2.1. and I have a lead in the step between these two. The lead received already the Email 1 (the old one) and now after I replaced the emails, I would like this lead to receive Email 2.1 (the new one). Will the system think like this? I assume it is important the email place holder to decide the order, disregarding what email we place there. Or not?What are the best practices for this situation?Thank you!

I need to be able to have Custom Salesforce Fields appear in the constraints drop down for 'Activity Logged' in Marketo.  As a background we created Event Status as a custom Salesforce Field and need to be able to use it as a constraint in Marketo......Any thoughts?

Hello. In this article: Server-side Form Post, the first list item says: Change the form to post into Marketo directly; you need to make sure the field names exactly match the Marketo specs (see “Marketo Forms on Non-Marketo Pages”)   However that link is broken. Does this page exist elsewhere?

Hi,We operate globally with multiple countries using Marketo and their own workspaces. Each country has multiple brands within their workspace.We are wanting to implement a best practice naming convention but have found we cannot have sub folders with the same name. Does anyone have a workaround or know if a fix for this is coming soon?Example structure:Brand A        Email Programs              Jan 2014              Feb 2014Brand B        Email Programs              Jan 2014              Feb 2014

We've made many changes in our lead scoring model lately and I suspect the results are a bit messed up; so I'd like to do a reset.What would be the best way of doing it properly knowing that :- Our process is we have a Behavioral score and a demographic score field and the lead score field = behavioral + demographic score- Some of our leads got some interesting behavioral scores (including interesting moments) I would like to keep on their record.Is anybody familiar with that ?

Hi There, I'm looking to have multiple forms on one page and am looking for specifics on how to change the button text after someone submitted a form. After the customer fills out the form, they will stay on the same page, but I want the button text to change (and stay changed from Submit) so they can see their submission has gone through.For example, customer fills out Form A, clicks submit and then button changes to Thank You (and stays on thank you, doesn't revert back to "Submit"). Then customer can fill out Form B with the same result (click on submit, button changes to Thank You and stays). I don't want customers to have the fill out (or think they can) fill out the form multiple times.Any suggestions?Thanks!

We have 2 categories of emails 1) Blast and 2) DripOur blasts are one-offs that may contain press releases or company news. Our drips are triggered based on when a name is added into the database. Here's the general timing of our drips:1. Wait 1 week2. Send Drip 13. Wait 3 weeks4. Send Drip 25.Wait 2 weeks6. Send Drip 3Because the sends are dynamic, sometimes a drip email send falls on the same day that a blast email is scheduled. What's ideal is that if a blast is sent that day, that any drips going out that day is postponed by a week. For the life of me, I can't figure out a way to do it. I've tried remove from flow, but when reinserted back they start from drip 1 again. Any thoughts?

We have placed an HTML snippet containing webtrends tracking code on a landing page and have added the javascript code to design studio as a file but webtrends.load.js keeps redirecting to our home page.Has anyone successfully placed the webtrends tracking code on their Marketo landing pages? 

Does anyone know where I go to request that Marketo design a landing page for me. I know it's easy and I just put in a URL, but I can't remember where it is.Thanks!

Is there a way to add some color shading to the background of a landing page? I want to make the background of one of the images to be a gray color

I recently set up a webinar event in Marketo, and my co-worker did the setup on the Webex side. We received several registrants before I set up the event under Event Partner. Now, a message appears: "The webinar settings can not be modified once there are members in the event." I was told there is a workaround for this, but I cannot find any information in the Community or in the User Guide (http://pages2.marketo.com/rs/marketob2/images/Marketo-WebEx-Adapter-User-Guide.pdf) to assist. I understand that the order of creation is (1) Create Webex event; (2) Create Marketo event; and (3) Integrate the events. These may not have been created in the correct order. What is the best way to integrate Marketo and Webex after there are members already associated with the event, and if the Marketo event was created first? Should I create a new event?  

I am preparing our upcoming webinar using WebEx Event Center Marketo Integration. In our past system we never had integration so we just handled each system separately and didn't require registraiton in webex (only in our marketing automation tool).Is there anything specific I should be sure to test before our live event? Any one had issues with people being able to get in to the event, etc? Looking for any advice in advance!Erin

Hi,So I just started at a new company and they are very concerned about competitor leads coming into SFDC (although they have assignments set up in SFDC, not Marketo). So what would you recommend? Do we somehow pick up these leads and NOT have them sync over to SFDC?In the past, I've always had them sync and then usually are in a certain queue and maybe even hidden. But the SFDC admin (also a sales guy) at this company doesn't seem keen on this idea.Suggestions?

Hello:Are you able to use 1 instance of Marketo with two different CRMs.  How would this work?  The CRMs are SalesForce and NetSuite.  Would workspaces come into play with this?  Anyone have any information?  Thanks!!Erin

I'm going through the Marketo implementation instructions and noticed my instance doesn't have "curved paper" pre loaded.  Should it be loaded or is it standard not to include any templates?Thanks!

I was looking at a way to add the SEND MARKETO EMAIL, ADD TO MARKETO CAMPAIGN and possible ADD TO WATCH LIST buttons in the Contact and Lead Page (not the lists or the search). Does anybody know if it is possible and how to do it?Thanks,Alex

For those of you who use ecommerce in your organizations, I'm interested to hear the platforms you use, and how you might be using Marketo in conjunction with them. We're currently running Adobe Business Catalyst which we're not terribly happy with. Considering Magento, but I'm curious to hear what platforms you are using.

For our webinar programs, we are doing registration through Marketo and have reminders setup as part of the Flow. We mimic the GoToWebinar flow and send a confirmation and then a reminder 1 day before the webinar and again 1 hour before.Let's say someone signs up 30 minutes before our webinar. They will receive the confirmation email and also the 1 day and 1 hour reminder emails.I am trying to add in a Remove from Flow step to remove them from the Flow if they register after the point when the 1 day and 1 hour reminders come in.  I cannot figure out how to access "now" as a Choice option in a Remove from Flow step.Ideas or other recommendations? Our flow is below.
