Does Java script have to be in the template layer of a landing page or can it be in a custom HTML?  

Hi all - question on how some of you manage the demographic scoring front.Obviously I have some initial demographic scoring set-up for when a lead is created based off of a few factors. For purposes of explanations, I'll just work off of company size.In our initial scoring, company size might breakdown as follows:1-50 :: +051-250 :: +10251-500 :: +20501-1000 :: +301001+ :: +50This works great working off of a trigger of lead is created since it is the first time.Where I'm concerned this is failing me is when data values update. For example, if someone comes back to our site 2 months later, and in the form they fill out they update their company size from 251-500 to 1001+ (they grew, or inputted it wrong the first time... whatever). I want the scoring to update accordingly, but am looking for a way to manage this without having a ton of separate triggers to update this.The only way I see being able to do this is via triggers of data value updated with a constraint of a previous value. I have set up the A/B test, the process is pretty straightforward but I have a question:Do I need to create two emails with two separate subject line  or the program will change the subject line automatically  according to the winner?Thanks,Fabrizio 

Can you pick the same field more than once when creating a form?I have a fieldset which has a location and based on the users choice two different lists can appear but are from the same field.However, the form editor won't let me pick the same field for both lists!

Hello there, we have several fields that are used for capturing the same information (which were created throught the years that Marketo is used).Is there any way that i can merge these fields and their values, so that i can keep one master for each, without loosing the values of the others? A mass update would be ideal, but if not possible i could go the manual way as well...Afterwards i would like to archive the extra fields, so that they wont be able to be updated or used again.Many thanks in advance Ioulia

I am new to Marketo and I added myself as a lead to track myself and see what happens - how it looks, what happens, etc.  I went to my activity log and it only shows what emails I have clicked on, forms I have filled out, etc. why isn't it showing that I have gone to a speicfic product page on my website? 

Just curious - can mutliple Email Programs be contained within a parent program (not an email program, just a regular Marketo program)?

This seems wrong. (TSW)  I'm building a nurture program with flow steps that say "If this action on email 1, this action on Email 2"  I'm doing this with a list of "Send Email" with options.  Trying to make a recursive process in a non-linear world is fun.Anyway, I want to say "If SENT EMAIL Email 1 AND Email 2 THEN Email 3".  Here's where I find my TSW.  The operator part of the query gives options for IS or IS ANY, right?  If I click the + sign and add in Email 1 and Email 2 the mousover on the action says "Open ANY of 2 Values".  So why is there a choice for IS ANY when it automatically forces IS ANY and there's no way to give additional parameters?  I want "IF SENT one AND two SEND three" not  one OR two.

I'm just implementing Munchkin now, but I'm wondering if I can figure out if associateLead needs to be called. I have a variety of ways of detecting who the current user is on my site such as through cookies or localStorage. I want to avoid making superfluous calls to associateLead to reduce requests to Marketo and also to reduce requests to a server side hash function which will generate more load.Is there a way to know if a lead has been associated already or is my best bet to write a cookie after I associate the lead to track that I've already done it?

I’d like access to the value displayed in the Updated column for a lead.  My understanding is getMultipleLeads does not return this date. I see from the API documentation that getLeadChanges() provides a list of all changes to a set of leads so I assume I could derive the Updated value from that call.  However, getLeadChanges() appears to return detailed change records and seems quite heavyweight just to get the Updated date. What is the most efficient way to get the Updated date for a list of Marketo Leads?

Is anyone using Brightcove as their media player on landing pages? It doesn't sound like there is an integration currently, but one might be coming. If you are using it, any advice on how to set up the API to gather any click data through Marketo? Thanks.

What is the best way to embed a form, using the form 2.0, into Wordpress.When getting embed code, I see script that looks universal and I put this into the Footer.php file of the template. That means that the form support code will load on every page of the site. src="//app-sji.marketo.com/js/forms2/js/forms2.js" The trouble is on my pages themselves. The new form embed code requires an empty DOM element (easy enough) and then page-specific script to load the form from Marketo.The issue is the Wordpress does not allow Script to be included in Page/Post content.Suggestions? Specific page templates for any page I want a form on? Using a plugin to let script get put into a page/post?

Results of each survey taken are associated with respondent data on our back end (non-Marketo end) to be aggregated for results and release to the public. Need: To place a unique link (already generated) to said surveys in each and every email. Problem: There seems to be no data on this?  We have exhausted most of what we can think of. Tokens, Custom HTML, etc. So the direct question is how can this be accomplished? It would seem as thought you wold simply call them like a function, (either from the imported list wherein they are already tied to the emails side by side) or by importing the unique links directly in some other way (possibly creating a custom field in Admin that would hold them, for example). I am running a webinar and would like to sync the webinar program to a SFDC campaign. However, I don't want to automatically send new leads to SFDC - i just want to sync the leads that are exisiting in SFDC already. We are only pushing leads to SFDC that are validated. Is there a way to do this? Or do leads need to automatically be sent over in order to sync programs and campaigns. Thanks for your help!

I see that the Smart List offers an "in past" "XX Days", but I want to only send to people where that date is before XX Days.  (I see there's a BEFORE option, but it requires a specific date)Any options for saying where their date is not in the past 60 days?  (or better yet, BEFORE a range of time)Thanks!John

I'm new to the new Email Program type and I just had a question about membership and Smart Lists! Question 1:  How does the Email program determine who is a member?  Is membership based on who is sent the email? or who opens the email?  It shows on the dashboard for example - Sent Emails 8381 Delivered 8298 But then my Members of the program are:  8391? I have 10 more then were sent?  Question 2 -   I did a Whole Email A/B test on this email program and if I wanted to send a follow up email to the people that did not open, I notice my individual emails that I tested won't be found in the drop down ... it only has the option of My Email Program.Whole Email Tests. My Question is - does this include all the people that did not open both my emails whether during the testing period and also if they received the winning email?    Any help would be greatly appreciated! 

Hi everyone,We have some emails in the cadence going every Tuesday. We want to use new ones with a new template but the same content. I am thinking to replace the original emails in the cadence with new onces. But, I am wondering if  the system will treat the new emails as the old ones, and will keep the people in the same wait step? For example, I replace Email 1 with Email 1.1 and Email 2 with Email 2.1. and I have a lead in the step between these two. The lead received already the Email 1 (the old one) and now after I replaced the emails, I would like this lead to receive Email 2.1 (the new one). Will the system think like this? I assume it is important the email place holder to decide the order, disregarding what email we place there. Or not?What are the best practices for this situation?Thank you!

I need to be able to have Custom Salesforce Fields appear in the constraints drop down for 'Activity Logged' in Marketo.  As a background we created Event Status as a custom Salesforce Field and need to be able to use it as a constraint in Marketo......Any thoughts?

Hello. In this article: Server-side Form Post, the first list item says: Change the form to post into Marketo directly; you need to make sure the field names exactly match the Marketo specs (see “Marketo Forms on Non-Marketo Pages”)   However that link is broken. Does this page exist elsewhere?

Hi,We operate globally with multiple countries using Marketo and their own workspaces. Each country has multiple brands within their workspace.We are wanting to implement a best practice naming convention but have found we cannot have sub folders with the same name.
