Would like to see Workfront handle estimates not just expensesNew

Workfront has great capabilities for inputing and tracking expenses but is very lacking currently when it comes to estimates. I'd like to see the capability to keep track of estimates and export estimate signoff documents in the system without having to do a massive amount of custom configuring and Fusion workflows.   Why is this feature important to you: It's important for us to keep track of estimates, not just expenses, so we have the ability to reconcile the expenses with the estimates. We also require signoff for our estimates do a formal document is beneficial. Currently much of this is happening outside of Workfront through emails and manual calculations. It would be extremely beneficial for this be handled within Workfront so everything stays with the project and calculations are not being done manually.   How would you like the feature to work: A specific use case is as follows. Production Manager is tasked with getting an estimate for some premium items Production Manager gets several options and per piece costs for each Production Manager is able to enter several quantities in for each item and the system calculates the total for each quantity based on the per piece cost. A formal estimate document can be exported and saved to documents folder to be sent to client for signoff. When estimate is signed off on the Production Manager is then able to finalize the details for an expense and reconcile the expense against the estimate. Current Behaviour: Currently Workfront is set up to handle expenses. If there are multiple quantities being estimated each quantity is entered as a separate expense which is a lot of extra manual work. Also if we have per piece costs we are manually calculating those costs which leaves greater room for error. Also, there is no mechanism currently for exporting a formal estimate document from the expense. We were able to build something using Fusion but its not an ideal fix.

Please make the (line) chart showing actual history of the selected dataNew

Description The chart visualization ignores applied filters. Selecting the sparkline as the data source always shows all data for the respective dimension. Selecting one metric as a data source shows the first attribute of the dimension for all metrics.     Warum ist Ihnen dieses Feature wichtig In practice: it makes it hard to find out, at what point in history a dimension starts being populated. Imagine you implement the dimension somewhen in last year and need to find out, when it was. You create a table/chart for the last year. But what you see is traffic for this dimension for the whole year.    Also the chart gives a wrong picture of the data, if you apply filters to your dimension. It's just a bigger representation of the sparkline, which always shows the history of all data, including datapoints, where there is no actual data ("unspecified").   If I select one metric as a data source, the chart will show all metrics and the first dimension attribute only. This seems to be counter intuitive.    Wie soll das Feature funktionieren: It should be possible to get the history of the selected data considering applied filters. If not by a single click, but by an option that says "show actual" data.    If I select one metric as a data source, I'd like to see the data for this metric only.  Either of them should allow me to see the actual historical data for the selected dimension and metric.    Aktuelles Verhalten   If you create a line chart based on a table and select the sparkline cell as the data source, the line chart will show the data from the sparkline. It will not change even if you apply a filter to the dimension.    Reproduce: 1. create a Workspaces > Project > Table with rows showing a dimension, columns showing a metric (e.g. Occurences, Page Views, Visit) 2. make sure, that "show unspecified" is enabled 3. create a line chart for this table, select one cell containing a sparkline to make this the data source. The chart shows one line representing the sum of all dimension attributes 4.disable the option "show unspecified"   The chart will reload, but it will be the same as before.    5. select three attributes of your dimension and choose "display selected rows only" from the contextual menu   Again, the chart will reload, but it will be the same as before.    6. select the actual metric (the green cell) as the data source   Again, the chart will reload, but now it will show ALL metrics, but only the first attribute of the dimension

Additional default settings in WorkspaceNew

Stemming from my initial question here, which had a bit of discussion: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-analytics-questions/in-workspace-can-i-change-default-settings-for-freeform-tables/m-p/546895   Description: In Workspace, whenever I build a freeform table, the default options are things like (show as sum of rows and background with bar chart.) The ability to set other options as my default values would save a lot of time.   Why is this feature important to you: For the last five years, my team of 10 and I, have been working with very large data sets in Adobe Analytics. The time it takes to build a freeform table could be cut in half if default settings were able to be changed. Recently, I built a very common table for our work, drilling down by 10+ segments, each broken down by additional segments/dimensions, and seven metrics columns. 90% of the time we set each drilldown to "show grand total" and uncheck "background" for each metric. For this one table, that means changing 17 settings, which adds a ton of time, especially when most of our analysis is previous 12 months.   How would you like the feature to work: It could be as simple as adding new options to the Components>>Preferences, but even better would have a checkbox in the settings window, that said "Set as Default."     Current Behaviour: I need to change settings in every drilldown and metric.

Workfront Documents Project vs Task (Story)New

There are two ‘Documents’ places that we use to save documents on Workfront: Project and Task   Saving files in Task – Documents: In our project team, people get assigned to subtasks in tasks. It's easier for the team to go and see what the relevant files are within Task-Documents. However, when we save files and create subfolders in Task-Documents, the related “Project” Documents don’t have the same folder structure that’s in Task. For example, if we save files A, B, C and organize the files in subfolders in Task, then when we go to its Project, files A, B, C are just saved in Project Documents as loose files, not in any subfolders. We have a lot of different tasks in one project, and it makes difficult to know which files are for which tasks unless someone goes into Project Documents and create subfolders and organize files manually. Or people need to go different tasks and try to find the files they need. Often times we have multiple tasks for one work item (i.e., one task for creating website content, another task for content edit/approval, and another task for website build/production, etc.). Either way, I don’t find this is efficient.   If we save files in Project – Documents: people go into Workfront and see the subtasks they are assigned to, then they have to get out of the Task and go one level up to find files from Project – Documents. I am not sure if this is ideal either.   My goal here is that we save files to Task Documents, then when we go to Project Documents, we can filter the files based on the tasks related to the files. I played around with filter/grouping in WF and I could figure out how to group based on tasks, but document list with tasks looks too busy; I can’t figure out the best way for this. I feel like there must be a way to organize documents in Project without manually creating subfolders.   I want to make sure that we have organized folder structure for each project/work so that when we try to find something even years later we can still go in and find what we need, and people know where to look. Ideally, even someone who didn’t get involved with the project, they should be able to find the files when they try to achieve it.   Please let me know what you think.   Thanks! Sunny Waterman

Bulk Publish/Unpublish/Delete nodes based on uploaded CSV.Accepted

Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: CSV Import Tool which perfom Publish, unpublish, delete, Move actions on given paths in csv  Use-case: Generally in any project we have multiple nodes [Pages, Assets, Renditions...] that need to be Publish/Unpublish/Delete, and example n number of nodes are not in use and cause huge impact on environment performance and we need to unpublish those and then delete it, it could be n number of assets, pages [which used for testing or duplicates etc]. and let say the number could be in 1000+. so in that case we have to write groovy script, servlet, scheduler or worflow etc, to read the path of nodes from particular CSV and do operation like publish, unpublish, and delete using replicator API or in anyway. and writing this code need lot of optimization based on environment behaviour [e.g : making it sync or async]. Instead of this approach if we could have a generic solution where the product have a CSV importer tool which will read the path of nodes from CSV and perform actions like delete, unpulish, publish.  Current/Experienced Behavior: Currently I have 30,000+ Assets which are duplicate, and the path of those assets are stored into a CSV file by the QA, Stakeholder team and I need to remove those incluing their properties which holds their renditions path  since it is duplicate, before deleting I need to unpublish those nodes. Improved/Expected Behavior: a tool which which read the path of nodes from CSV and perfom actions like Publiish, Unpublish and Delete.  Environment Details (AEM version/service pack, any other specifics if applicable): AEM6.5 and above.
