Partitioning of database

Marketing server and DB (Oracle) - In house in client premises.

Data is getting loaded for multiple Business units.

For better performance of database, client is looking for partitioning of database.

What are the best practices that can be suggested to clients for partitioning.

Would there be any change at Adobe Campaign application level (any changes to existing workflows or queries) if the database is partitioned?

Please help with pointers.

DB partitions is something at DB level and I do not think you need to change anything at campaign level.

Hi Priyanka,

You can refer to the following resources for more information on database partitioning and performance best practices:

  • Adobe Campaign Classic Data Model Best Practices
  • Database Partitioning Best Practices for Oracle

Database partitioning is generally managed at the DB level, and typically, no changes are required at the Adobe Campaign application level unless specific workflows or queries are dependent on the exact data structure. It’s always a good idea to test the changes in a staging environment before implementation."
