Campaign Classic : Creating a new domain for Operational email

Hi Team,

We need to send operational emails such as T&Cs or Recall emails.
As they are critical messages they are similar to Transactional messages without Optout links and checks. But they are targeted in Bulk. I do not think transactional Servers should be used to shoot out messages in Builk.

Can you please help us to understand how Operational messages are handled in other accounts?

As of now, we are thinking of sending it through a new domain for promotion. where messages will be sent in bulk similar to promotional but opt-out checks and opt-out links can be removed.

Thanks,
Vinay

Hi @vprasad

As a suggestion, you can make use of list Unsubscribe functionality where you embed your custom WebApp (or you can directly use the WebApp URL link) in your template. In the WebApp you can configure to display a customized message like "Oops, you can't unsubscribe the service email directly. To Unsub follow some steps". Now, whenever the customer tried to click the link, they will be flashed with the above alert. Hence, it will solve both the problems or having the compulsory unsub link (according to your brand) and customer to still receive the communications without being marked as spam.

Hello @vprasad

You can use the same process as Marketing emails but remove the check for Unsubscribe link like you mentioned (e.g. Typology rule to check unsubscribe link).

The only challenge is how to handle the process when a customer don't want to receive any kind of communication from your brand? From a customer POV, Mark as spam will be the only option unless they can go back to a Marketing email to access the preference center to Optout from service based comms.

Hi @_manoj_kumar_

Thanks for the response. Now its' compulsory that all promo emails should have one click opt-out.

Also if the customer starts to mark it as spam and does not find the unsub. it is going to affect the current domain reputation from ISP and all promo emails will start landing in the spam folder.

Thanks,
Vinay.
