We have a resouring issue with users who resource in WLB using monthly view and percentages

The issue is that even though the project schedule ignores users time off in the settings and the schedule is set to Jan 1 as a holiday it still seemed to allocated hours when looking in day view to Jan 1. That date is in a week where two months split and usually this team updated hours once a month. I am not sure how hours were placed there and how to avoid this from happening in the future and possibly fix it where it has occurred without manually zeroing it out. I thought I would share with the community to see if you had any thoughts on why this happened or if you have experienced it how you resolved or worked around it. Thanks in advance!

Hi @randi_rettig

Thank you for your question! If your organization is currently configured to ignore user time off, the planned dates of the task remain as originally planned, even if the primary assignee has time off during the duration of that task.

If you don't want the users to be scheduled during this time, you need to edit the setting so that it considers user time off.

If I misunderstood you, I would recommend opening a support ticket so that we can look into this further and perform some troubleshooting.

@monicacardoso thanks for responding, we are aware of this setting but that would make the timeline shift and would be based on the primary. These tasks have multiple users assigned and we don't want the timeline to shift. Regardless this date is a holiday and it's on the users schedule and the project schedule so even if honoring the project schedule it's incorrect in placing hours on a holiday. I would like to keep this open as I have been going back and forth with support and am interested in other users experience with this issue to find out if they have also experienced it.
