Typeahead field in Custom Form for selecting an active Portfolio

We would like to see the ability to add a typeahead field to our Issue Custom Form so a user can select one of our active Portfolios from a dropdown list. Manually maintaining a standard dropdown would be extremely difficult as Portfolios are being opened and closed constantly.
