Single Sign-On and Auto-Provision

I'm testing auto-provisioning of users, but have ran into a bit of a problem. The default home group of the user can't be controlled as far as I can tell. It's picking the same group each time, but for no obvious reason. The group being assigned is not the first in any sort order by name or ID.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Ours was picking the group at the top of the list so I needed to put a * in front of the group we wanted to be the default so it appeared at the top. There are pros and cons to the auto provisioning from what we've found.
