Resource Planner Filters

Is there anyway to create resource planner with date filters on tasks, issues, etc that are dynamic so it can be saved and not need recreated once the specific dates have passed. In other words why can't we say "this week" or use the date wildcards? And is there some reference for how multiple filters are applied? Is it all AND or OR? Brian McKinley
