Provide the the ability to filter for 'only' the parent task

There are times when I want to only show Parent tasks, either for a filter in a project or for a report. Ex: I have an ala carte template that we add to projects for Project Change Requests. I'd like to be able to have a filter that would only pull the parent task, so that I could have this report on the project dashboard.

I do have a workaround now where I can at least pull all non-closed tasks & that helps us drive the PCR through to completion, but I'd still like to ONLY be able to pull the parent task.

    Have you tried using the Number of Children field in a filter? Either that or if these tasks are on a template that you reuse, add a custom field and use it as a flag to set on the template tasks that you always want to display.
