Hide Standard Fields from Project or Task Setup

Since we have a highly customized instance and we don't use many of the out of the box fields, we would love the ability to hide fields or entire sections of the project set up. The overwhelming amount of fields can confuse our non-PM users and it would be great to have the ability to hide them at the template level.
