Generate Proof Automatically

Hi All,

We are on a very old licence type (like At-Task old LOL) and will be changing over at the end of this year. Our current plan does not include proof licenses for all users and we only have 20 users with proof licenses. When we switch over, our CSM let me know that the 'Generate Proof Automatically' setting will be selected automatically for all users and new users that we create.

I know I can run a user report and turn off this setting, but then I would have to filter for those who want this enabled and keep up that list.

Do you keep this setting checked? Do users complain that it takes longer for documents to upload due to the proof creation? If you don't keep this setting checked, how do you monitor this?

I confirmed with our ASE that this is not a reportable field native in Workfront or the API.

We’ve unchecked it for almost everyone because you can select if you want to upload a proof or a document, and when someone wants to upload a Word document for example, and it becomes a proof regardless, it is really annoying.
