Filter option to include subfolder contents

We have many clients with branch locations. These proofs are organised in folders and subfolders. Our management team would love to be able to "filter" for all files in a folder with an option to include subfolder contents that they are browsing in at any particular time. eg: filter for "changes required" and owned by

    I am interested in creating smart folders that use project and folder names as the filters. I would like to be able to create smart folders with filters such as "'Project Name>>Equals>>XXXXX' and 'Folder Name>>Equals>>XXXXX.'" Having these filters would allow my team to archive only our final project documents without having to include all documents that are on a project.
