Custom Task Status

Hi I've read through the help screens but can't find what I need, as the custom status info relates almost exclusively to Project Status, not Task Status (despite the subheads). Or I'm not able to understand the directions, totally possible too. I need to create a custom task status list that is applicable to one project only. I created a Group that includes the people that will manage the project (because that's what Help told me to do) but I can't find any way to apply the custom task statuses that I created to this Group. These statuses are now showing up on every task in Workfront, which is not good -- there are 8 of them and it will confuse everyone. Is there a way to have a custom task status list for only a single project, group, task, or some other subset of the whole? Thanks! Jill Ackerman

Hi Jill, I'm not sure what all you've tried so far, so forgive me if you've already tried this. You can create new task statuses for a particular group. When you are looking at the custom status screen, you will initially be looking at the System Statuses that apply to the entire instance. If you click in the field where it says System Statuses, and enter the group name though, you will be able to view statuses that apply only to that group, and create new ones that should only apply to that group. Thank you! That's exactly the answer. I didn't get that field was changeable. It works. Sent from my iPhone
