Add Business Case to Project Template

Request: Make the Business Case/Goals available on project templates.


Reason:

Many of our projects have a similar list of goals entered into the Business Case. We'd like to pre-populate new projects with this information, ideally by using a project template. The Business Case isn't currently available on project templates.

    Expanding on the reason above, we typically have 30-40 goals. They are usually the same topics, but different requirements will fill in the "blanks". For example, the template would have "Axle: xxxx" and the "xxxx" portion would be different for each project.


    It’s a hassle to have to fill these in every time. However, and more importantly, pre-populating the goals helps to reduce the risk of missing a key parameter field.

    Great idea, Kirsten!


    We share a similar need to pre-design a business case on a template, including the standard expenses, Resource Budgeting, Scorecard and custom form, in addition to the goals feature.


    This would be a value-add and time-saver for our PMs.
