Ability to link drill-through for a report to another report/ view

This is something that is a basic function of Oracle BI or Microsoft Reporting Stack.

Would like the ability to define the drill through of a report. The default could remain as the detail behind the existing report, but would like to see the ability to build a separate report and have the click navigate to that report instead of the detail of the original report.

As one use case, this would provide for executive view drill-through capability to go from a high level chart, then click and see a more detailed chart, then click and see even another chart. Each report would be built separately and would essentially just be linked.

The workaround today is that all of these views have to be extracted to Excel and built using pivot charts, which is a manual effort upon each time it is requested. Would love to be able to send our executives to their dashboard and just let them have a play.

    This is a great idea!! I was going to place the same request but decided to see if it was out there first. I cannot believe I am the first person to vote for this.

    The ability to start with a high lever report and click on segments or bars to drill to a more detailed level of reporting is critical for executive adoption. It is a much simpler way to view portfolio/program/project performance.
