Adobe Workfront

We’re onboarding a new group into Workfront that previously used a system where they used cases (very minimal workflow steps and assignments) as projects and labeled the cases with sprint number/date range tags that were independent of the case planned completion date. This group would like to keep their sprint concept in the new Workfront workflows but we are having a difficult time figuring out how to do that, since we would like them to adjust task duration to take into account timeline or resource changes within the project, not just manually change a sprint tag not connected with planned completion dates. Just creating a custom field with the sprint number/date range options that they could tag to the project task or project as a whole doesn’t seem to make sense to me if the planned task completion and/or project planned completion doesn’t correlate with the sprint tag dates. The group has a heavy project/template workflow that didn't fit in well with Iterations when I tested that

I feel silly having to ask this because I've asked a very similar question (thank you @kurt_jones and @rafal_bainie!). How do I turn the URL field on a task into a hyperlink in my project view? I'm getting an error on the setup tab when setting up the Workfront for Jira app. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I haven't found anything elsewhere.

If i have a scenario that's running and a month down the road there is an update to the scenario. Normally for us, we develop and test in sandbox, then clone the scenario into prod and deactivate the old scenario. We re-use the same webhook that was on the old version. However, I've heard that its good to create a new webhook every time i clone an updated scenario over. But in doing this i've found out that if i deactivate the old scenario, the webhook on that version is still active and needs to be manually disabled, which is causing issues with data going to the new/old webhooks. Which is better re-use a webhook on the same scenario even if its updated or create a new webhook every time its updated and keep in mind to deactivate that one as well? what are the pros and cons of this? Thanks!

Hi all I'm a newly appointed system administrator for our Workfront instance, which has been in use for over a decade.  We are looking to overhaul our configuration and eliminate any unnecessary technical debt.  However, we have been cautious about making changes due to concerns about the potential impact on our existing data, including historical information, permissions, reports, groups, teams and more.  If someone has been through something like this and has any suggestions, lessons learned, be careful when..., etc.  please let me know.   Thank you!

Hello, I want to take a certain action on the lowest sub-task given a higher parent within Fusion. When the task I am looking for is directly underneath the parent task there is no issue getting this information with a quick search within Fusion. However, in some cases I have multiple layers between one another where the search is on a grandparent task instead on a direct parent. Hi Community, I'm trying to add a Primary Contact of a issue onto an hours report, but can't make it work. We are using a request queue, converting that to a project, and want the Primary Contact to show on the report. So far, I've added a calculated field onto the custom form and when the new requests come through this is correctly showing the Primary contact (not the  request entered by user). This is good. The problem is when the issue is converted to a project, the calculated field updated to to the owner of the project, which then shows on the report. This is quite annoying! Lol The calculated field I'm using {owner}.{name} and I assume this is recalculating tot he project owner. I've also tried using a collection, but couldn't get the resolvables nested statement to work. Any help will be very appreciated.ThanksMatts     

I have a project set up where each task has a predecessor so that the timeline will auto update when one change is made to a task. We are seeing this break where even though we change the date, the following tasks are not reflecting the change to start date even though the predecessor is set properly. Additionally, when we have multiple tasks with the same predecessor, it will sometimes only change one tasks start date not all of the linked tasks.

Hello, I am trying to pull the latest/max date from an array of differently formatted dates:Here is the data I am pulling into an array. The different highlights show that some dates have a timestamp while others do not.Here is a good example of a bunlde in my array:The goal is to get the latest date from each bundle, and apply that date to new field.  

I have a multiselect external lookup field that displays employee names from Workfront user object. This field returns an array of names in the API call, nothing else. I need the user IDs associated with those names. Is there any workaround to obtain that? If getting the ID is not possible, is there a way to display the name and email? When someone comments in a proof, the person that has been tagged in the proof receives an email notification, which takes them directly inside the proof and they can reply.  However, if they rely on their system notifications in WF, it takes them to the "Update" section for the proof.  They were thinking they could reply in the update, and the update would be made in the proof.  So they are frustrated the email notification and the system notification takes them to two different places; which to them makes the system notification pointless. Would love to hear a valid argument to offer my co-worker.

Hello,I can't find any information how I can re-run/restart a scenario execution that has failed. I sometimes have an error with a scenario due to an impossible connection (Excel module, Excel unavailable). I don't have any error handling. I would like to re-run the scenario with the input of the first module which is a webhook. The only solution so far is to relaunch the payload via Postman, but maybe I'm missing a simpler solution.Is it possible at all?Thank youSébastien

Anyone else try to access the scenario settings button lately and it's not loading? It just loads infinitely and never actually loads in. If anyone else can access it, I'll likely just submit a support ticket. 

Hi Workfront Community, I have a question regarding the Top Priority, Project, and Committed Date fields in Workfront, specifically in relation to how they appear in the People tab within a Project for team members. I’ve noticed that the task showing as "Top Priority" for some team members does not have a high priority set for them (the priority is set to "Normal"), as well as the Project. In other words, the priority for the tasks in question is not high, and the projects associated with these tasks do not seem to be the main point of focus. but I’m not sure how the system is populating these fields.  Is there a specific configuration in Workfront that automatically populates the Top Priority, Project, Committed Date fields for users, or is this something that needs to be manually set at the project or task level? I also cannot find a way to manually set or adjust the Top Priority field under the user profile. Any insight into how these fie

On every custom form we have one common field with 3 categories on for report purposes. Each request submitted requires the requestor to select the correct category and at the end of the month we report on those 3 categories. However, for some requestors, who are not frequent Workfront visitors, we want to preset /default a category on specific custom forms, not all - is this possible? In the sandbox when I default a category, it defaults across all forms too but wondered if I was missing something as some fields have features just for that form. Hope this makes sense!

When I am completing data in a report Custom Field I can use shift and enter to drop a line in the field. This shortcut isn't working for Mac users in my instance - does anyone know how I can do this?
