Thanks to everyone who joined today’s INCREDIBLY INSPIRING workshop, Rethinking Resource Management the Agile Way at Advisors Excel, to learn about Advisors Excel’s 3-year transformation from a manual, rigid resource management approach to an agile, queue-based system in Workfront. Lindsey Brown ​@lindselib , Creative Operations Product Manager, and Cathy Clifton, Project Coordinator Director, explained how shifting most work into shared queues, introducing structured backlogs, and redefining team roles improved flexibility, scalability, and visibility while reducing stress and bottlenecks.   Highlights of the workshop included: They shifted 85% of work into shared backlog queues (“Friday” and “MARCO” queues) with automated prioritization using a custom priority score, improving flexibility and reducing bottlenecks. Hello, I am currently working on filtering a project report by task assignees manager. One of our design manager’s would like to see a full project report that is filtered for projects that their direct reports have been assigned tasks on. I think an exist statement would probably be the best way to do this but I could be overlooking something much simpler. If anyone has any suggestions that would be appreciated.

I am certain I saw this in my instance last night and now I cannot find how I found it.What I am looking to achieve is from within a Portfolio, using the Milestone View and it be grouped by program.Please can someone help?!

When proofing a document I wanted to tag another approver and get their opinion about something on the artwork. However, it will not let me tag them, giving me the message “Your sharing permissions allow you to mention only people already added to the proof.”If they are an approver, wouldn’t they already be added to the proof? It seems that I can tag them in the updates (Unless it is an outside user, than I am unable to tag them at all - but I can add them as an approver)We used to have no problems tagging people that had Workfront accounts on our system so I’m not sure which update changed this, but would like to know how to fix it please.

Hi All, I created a user report and added a ‘Direct Reports’ column using the following text mode: displayname=Direct Reportslistdelimiter=<br>listmethod=nested(directReports)type=iteratevaluefield=namevalueformat=HTML The column displays correctly within the Workfront report and successfully shows all direct report names. However, when exporting the report to Excel, the Direct Reports column appears blank. Please advise whether this is a known system limitation, or if the issue can be resolved by adjusting the text mode configuration? Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. How long do draft requests remain in the draft folder?  I wasn’t sure if there was a time limit for how long they will remain in the draft folder?  

I’m working with this expression to bring some Task data onto a Project report. Each project will have multiple tasks that meet this criteria (ie multiple children under the Bottling parent). Is there a way to tell the report to put the outputs in a certain order - ideally sorted by the Planned Start Date. Hello, I would like to increase the webcapture timeout setting to help with proofing. I just can’t find the correct option anywhere in the proofing, account settings.Has anyone changed this settings? We are looking to drive custom notifications and other actions once a task’s Can Start {canStart} updates;Examples of actions when a task can start moves from false to true:  Add note and task assignee informing them their task can begin Review documents and add reference information to updates from previous tasks Review fields on other tasks and update downstream tasks as appropriate     Currently, there does not appear to be a way to watch this field, record or event which watches the system canStart field on a task.  

Hi, is there any way to show the issue’s status for a user inside the issue view but block it for the user to not be able to change it, just show the field but block it ? i tried through the layout template but you either remove it completely or show it.thanks,Bianca

Hi everyone,I’m trying to implement a Portfolio → Program dependency in Adobe Workfront and ran into a behavior that I’d like to understand better.BackgroundIn the native Workfront project fields, Portfolio and Program already exist as built-in fields. When we create a project: Portfolio can be selected Program automatically shows only programs related to that portfolio This dependency works perfectly.However, the problem is that these native Portfolio and Program fields are not required fields, and Workfront does not allow us to make them required.What we triedTo make these fields required, we created them again in a Custom Form using reference fields: Portfolio field Reference Field: Portfolio Set as Required Program field Reference Field: Program Set as Required The goal was to force users to select both Portfolio and Program when creating a project.IssueAfter creating these fields in the custom form: When we select a Portfolio, The Program field still shows

Does anyone know why the proofing tool would give you the error message "proof failed to generate", when the user is set to "Manager" vs "Supervisor in the users "proof permission profile"?If i change it to Supervisor it works, but if it's Manager i get the error message.

Hi Everyone,I’m trying to understand how to implement a Parent–Child project structure in Adobe Workfront so that multiple projects can stay aligned with a master project timeline.The idea is to have a hierarchy like this:Portfolio → Program → Parent Project → Multiple Child ProjectsThe Parent Project would contain the main timeline and key milestone tasks. The Child Projects would represent different workstreams (for example: Marketing Campaign, Sales Training, Customer Enablement, etc.), each owned by different teams.The goal is that when the dates in the Parent Project change, the related tasks in the Child Projects should automatically adjust so that all teams stay synchronized.I’ve seen diagrams where tasks in the Child Projects are linked to tasks in the Parent Project, possibly using cross-project dependencies or predecessor relationships.My questions are:  Is this possible ? What is the best way to implement this structure in Workfront? Can Parent and Child Projects be formal

Our workflow would greatly benefit from being able to keep Proofing Comments on future versions until they are marked as Resolved or Unactioned. This would allow for conversations to continue and reviewers to quickly see the thread without having to flip back several versions or searching through the document updates

I keep getting a “Forbidden resource” pop-up when opening Fusion scenarios recently: Is anyone else getting this?  I can still run/edit the scenarios, but I can no longer access the Incomplete Executions tab.  Last week I got an email about an incomplete execution; the scenario in question runs once daily, so I was able to able to go into the History tab and look at the most recent entry to find the issue.  My concern is with scenarios that have instant triggers--if any runs have an incomplete execution, it may be harder to identify them using just the History tab (some scenarios have hundreds of executions per day).I wanted to check if anyone else has seen this behavior in their Fusion instance.

We have recently become aware that we are no longer able to create negative expenses.This has created a huge problems on our end with invoicing clients.We often have corporate card returns/refunds that, of course, come through as a negative number. If we’ve already invoiced a client by adding the original expense to a billing record, we have no way to now add a negative expense to a future billing record to reduce the next invoice for that client. And if we haven’t already invoiced the client, zero’ing out that expense creates an audit mis-alignment with our financial system. We also often have credits that come from suppliers related to an invoice that we’ve posted. Same as expenses, not being able to create a negative expense for supplier credits causes the same problems on this expense type.We were not made aware that this change was coming and it is causing errors in our Fusion automations that try to create a negative expense record in Workfront, in addition to the client invoicin

Hi everyone,I’m trying to configure a request queue for a small new Design team in Workfront that can route incoming requests into a project or kanban boardCampaigns (projects Design Requests  (A Kanban board).Has anyone set up a request queue that allow the team to do both?The work types are in one form as a dropdown) I’ve not worked with Boards before and not sure if to make them an agile team if they want to use both. Any advice on the best way to do this would be great…..I don’t want to use fusion and the team are happy to convert manually but I'd rather the design request went directly to the Board.Thanks in advance!
