Adobe Target

On the Design Overview page of the Recommendations documentation it says "Target can also return recommendations as a JSON object."  It gives an example output of the JSON that can be generated. However, the topic of generating JSON is not discussed anywhere in that section. I imagine this is either accomplished in a design or an mbox parameter, but I cannot find any further discussion of the topic.  How is this accomplished?A related question: the documentation says that Designs use Apache "Velocity Version 1.5 with no additional tools or libraries" (such as EscapeTool, which would be very useful!!). However, I swear I recall seeing an article somewhere on how to escape quotes for JavaScript in the Velocity used in Recommendations-- but I can't find it again!  Is this possible? I'd like to escape single quotes so that valid JavaScript/JSON can be created when they appear in recommendations content.Thanks for any assistance you can offer!

I am passing experience ID in a response token.   Is the experience ID also available in the interface? I need to allow marketing teams to be able to match the experience ID to the friendly name without messing about with APIs etc.    We can't pass the experience name in a token as we don't want that exposed on the client.    Thanks

I have successfully implemented step 1 below. I am trying to work out what is required for step 2.   I tried implementing this on a page, in the hope that it would then make this view (homeView) visible to me in the Target VEC... but it didn't.  Am I overlooking something really simple here? Do I need to define the triggerView function somewhere? How do I go about excluding IP addresses from A/B tests? We want to exclude a monitoring tool we use from entering A/B tests. Is there a setting within Adobe Target like there is within analytics? Or do we need to create a profile script and assign the audience to every A/B test.

I am trying to create A4T activities. In the goals and settings page, I am not getting any report suites I have been using this id for the last 3 years and no issues. This has come up since yesterday and I am not able to edit existing A4T activities because of this. I have not changed anything wrt to user permissions. Has anyone had this before?    

My team is implementing server side rendered AB tests using Adobe Target, and are curious about the best practices surrounding Session IDs. The application we are building uses Angular and Adobe Launch to integrate w/ Target and Analytics. How do we ensure that the server can detect 30 minutes of inactivity and recreate a new session ID for users?   The Adobe Target Cookies page states that: For a particular session, its value must stay the same across multiple requests The session is active for 30 minutes on the server side. Therefore, you shouldn’t use a different Session Id for a particular tntId/thirdPartyId within 30 minutes of the last request made with the tntId/thirdPartyId. Otherwise, changes to the profile could be inconsistent and unpredictable. A new Session ID must be used after thirty minutes of inactivity from a visitor.  

Is there anyone who can explain how pattern for sessionID is supposed to work with the delivery API?   https://developers.adobetarget.com/api/delivery-api/   The documentation states that a sessionID is required, but where is this sessionID supposed to come from and how is it generated?

My Page is loading with all 3 parameters mboxDisable=1, mboxEdit=1 but I can see Target  is firing inside VEC composer "mboxDisable=1" parameter worked fine by itself, until paired with "mboxEdit=1"Is this a VEC bug ?ThanksRam

Hello. I've been tasked with migration of our iOS app from ACP (2.x) to AEP (3.x).  It seems pretty straightforward following this guide.   However one issue that has come up is that the AEPTarget does not work with iOS app extensions like the older ACPTarget seemed to.  I am getting Xcode complier errors if I try to include AEPTarget in the iMessage extension. Previously this would compile with ACPTarget.  Any suggestions?

The website I am making the implementation for has a cookie policy banner from. The experience created on Target is showing properly before I accept the cookie policy, but after I accept it, the page refreshes and the experience is no longer showing. What could be causing this behavior? The following error message appears o console:
