Adobe Marketo Engage General

I am requesting support regarding the implementation of the Marketo forms at our WordPress website. On the following pages:https://www.backbase.com/resources/request-live-demo-2-2/connect.backbase.com/registration-2019The user can do Link Injection. This results in a unsafe way of working. Please let me know how we can proceed in preventing this from happening. We use the code from the Marketo website 1 on 1 as suggested in the backend. I hope you can help me as soon as possible,

In our instance in Marketo, we store purchased items inside of Custom Objects.For some of the objects (we call Webinar Entitlements) we sent out a "Here is how to access your webinar" email that uses velocity scripting to pull the information from inside the Custom Object and populate it into the email. The email is triggered on the "Added to Custom Object" event, with a few additional constraints around the information inside the custom object.The problem we have is that the scripting is strictly taking a value - we aren't using loops or conditionals and calling out the index position. So if someone purchases say, 3 webinars in one check-out, they will get 3 emails all with the information specific to the custom object in that 0 index position. I'm working out with developers a way to send ONE email only populated with webinar information that they purchased that day / that singular check-out event. Hi!I have a strange issue with API created field.I use API call to create a checkbox field{"id": "Opt_In_Consent__c","label": "Opt-In Consent","dataType": "checkbox","defaultValue": "yes","validationMessage": "This field is required.","required": false,"formPrefill": true,"initiallyChecked": true}After the field is created - there is no input on the field. If I remove this field are recreate it through UI editor in the Design studio with the same parameters - everything works fine. See the second checkbox field.Does anyone have the same problems? Does anyone here use Salesforce Marketing Cloud as well as a Marketo/SFDC connection?  I'm struggling to find any information of whether these are either/or scenarios or if typically folks exclusively work with the Marketo/SFDC scenario.  Any insights folks can provide would be helpful to deepen my understanding.  TIA

I have a webhook which updates a picklist field in Marketo. Occasionally it will come back with an empty response, in those cases I would like it to NULL the existing value in the picklist field. I can control what value is returned in the JSON response but when I try using a value of NULL it doesn't remove the value in the field. I guess I can get around it by returning the NULL value in a string field and then use this to NULL the picklist, but wanted to avoid the 'let's create another field' solution if possible. I'm sure Sanford Whiteman​ would be able to let me know the answer to this pretty quickly.Thanks!

Hi all, Have a question for you all: I have a scenario where I'd like to reduce a person's Demo Score & therefore their Person Score by -20. However, if they are less than 20 on their Demo Score, I'd like to set that to 0 and if they have a Behavior Score, I'd like to set Person Score equal to that. I know how to create a constraint where in Demo > 20, set =0 but how do I set a constraint where if Person Score>20 set to Behavior Score?Here's an example: Pre                                  PostDemo = 10                      Demo = 0 Behavior = 3                   Behavior = 3Person Score = 13         Person Score = 3Any thoughts?/ Ideas on how to do this?

We're changing our CNAME.  This is a mess because we have a lot of links - email, web pages, linkedin, etc pointing to info.oldcname.com/various-page-names.html and we want to redirect them to info.newcname.com/various-page-names.html.Is it possible to do a root level redirect and preserve the page names without the need to go through the arduous task of re-directing each individual page?

Hi all, We have an engagement stream, PE 1, PE2, PE3, PE4. PE 1 was sent with a 99.7% delivery rate. The people are then funneled to PE 2, and it only had a 73% delivery rate. PE 3 then went back up to 99.6% delivery. I ran a smart list to see who had the soft bounces, and it is mostly Hotmail accounts, with one or two Outlook.com and live.com thrown in. Some sample logs:554 5.4.7 [internal] (last transfail: 451 4.7.650 The mail server [185.28.196.157] has been temporarily rate limited due to IP reputation. These people had emails delivered and opened before and after this occurrance. thanks!

Hey all,I'm trying to identify an issue I'm having all of the sudden on Chrome in our LPs.  I cant tell if it is an internal-only issue or if something is really wrong. It was literally working fine yesterday.This doesn't seem to be limited to 1 form - it's all forms (or landing pages - not sure which is the culprit here).We have a page here (Subscribe to the Alight on Video Series | Alight) that fully works in Chrome while in Marketo's preview mode, but not working once placed live. The form simply wont submit and outputs an error instead. It works in IE and Firefox though. Further, I cant replicate the Chrome issue while not on my work computer. Its like only Chrome at my workplace is broken. But I fully clear my cookies in Chrome and it's still broken.Has anyone experienced something like this? Any insights how to troubleshoot? I'm not a developer myself and am struggling to determine if I have a widespread issue or some weird cookie/Chrome/IT thing for just us. 

I am extremely frustrated that Marketo does not sync any of the data from the opportunity into Tokens AND the campaigns can't trigger a status change for the opportunity stage. Is anyone able to help me with a solution that will either get the opportunity fields to the contact OR the opportunity fields into an email as tokens?  I was hoping that I could make a formula field in Salesforce that would copy data from the opportunity. i.e. If I add a program # field to contact anytime I update the opportunity associated with that contact it will also change the data in the contact. I am a broker so we don't work like a typical sales company. We just started converting leads and now everything we have set up isn't working.  I feel as if Adobe bought Marketo and decided they weren't going to do anything with it, I am extremely frustrated, I can't be the only one who has this issue.

Hi,I'm looking to display content based on score field. I know how to script for if the field is greater than or less then a certain number but I'm looking to compare the scores in multiple fields (all number value) and then display the content for the field with the highest score. There are 10 fields and I need to find the field with the highest score, anyone have any idea how that can be done, or is it even doable to velocity script this?Example:Field 1: lead score = 5Field 2: lead score = 2Field 3: lead score = 10Field 4: lead score = 1I want to display content associated to field 3.Thanks!

Do you allow Sales Reps to "claim" event leads that they speak to at events?I've seen different orgs allow or not allow this...I see the value for sales to be able to do this, but feels this creates the opportunity for a process/ops nightmare. Especially as your sales org grows.If your org does allow reps to claim event leads, how have you built this process? Do you use routing/matching tools like LeanData to support this?Did you run into other things like, deciding how many they can claim?Or if you do not not allow, how did you explain to sales or create other incentives for them to support?Thoughts?

I would like to have a campaign that changes the Opportunity stage to closed if they don't respond within a certain amount of time. Is this possible? 

is it best practice to reference smart list(s) within a smart list?we have a request from sales to build out lists for them, which will then go on to be referenced dozens of times. My fear is that this could cause slowdown or performance issues within Marketo. is it better to build out a bunch of pre-determined smart lists based on various criteria (vertical, region, business unit, etc) and then reference those in email sends?OR is it better to use filters to create lists/audiences as new programs come upFrom a sales perspective it would be ideal if I have a smart list ready for every conceivable combination, but I don't think that is realistic. 

Hi,I was wondering if its possible to send data to a form, that is not saved to the database?Right now we are struggling with the creation of a lot of new fields for every campaign we do. These campaigns are relatively short lived, and some of the data submitted is only used to determine "if" statements in the campaign flow.The result of this is that we end up with a lot of exces fields, and a lot of clean up for every campaign we have run, so is there a way to only save the most crucial data from a form submit?Best regards,

We have created an email script which creates a newsletter based off preferences users have set in our database. Everything works fine and it organizes content in the email based off preferences, however something seems to have happened where since we have included the email script in the email template we no longer have access to tracking clicks. Is there anyway around this?

Hey Marketing Nation,Our team is running into a really odd situation. Each time that we send out emails to our remote sales team, they are unable to access the links in the email. When they click on a link the browser will open up and essentially time out. Testing it on their phone or on the web app version of Office365 works fine, but only in Outlook do the links not work. It's also only with our remote sales team.To give some context, our sales team use Microsoft Surface Pro 4s with Outlook on Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus. We use Windows 10 as well.Any thoughts/help/troubleshooting?

I have reached my API limit on salesforce (for the first time) and I am not sure why/how that happened. Is there a way to see a list of all the API calls from Market to salesforce?
