Adobe Marketo Engage General

Hello everyone, looking for some help and opinions here please.   We are switching our CRM from a custom built one (integrated very well with Marketo) to Dynamics 365 CRM. That's fine, it makes sense for us, and I have been looking at the integration with Marketo.   Then, the Microsoft partner started pushing Dynamics 365 Marketing to replace Marketo, and my manager wants me to look into this. If we were talking Pardot v Marketo I could talk about the differences all day, but I've never used Dynamics 365 Marketing. A quick glance at the documentation & 30 mins on their free trial and I was quite impressed - mostly because we use Microsoft Office already at our company so it felt familiar. But the basic functionality seems to be there as well, and seems to have come on a long way since I last glanced at it a couple of years ago.But I'm aware of the sheer amount of functionality that Marketo has, its integrations, the API, the community and that if you have access to people

Salesforce support is recommending that integrations for sync to be done using LastModifiedDate instead of SystemModstamp. Is there a way in Marketo you could do it?   Every quarter salesforce rotates its encryption keys & then the  system mod stamp triggers & in Marketo it  sync  all records. Is there a way to to avoid this?. We want to look at last modified date instead.

Hi there,  I recently hosted a webinar to try out GoToWebinar, and most of all, check the status update after the webinar (which is important for me). However, the status hasn't updated, and when I tried to refresh GTW using the "Refresh from Webinar Provider" button, it doesn't work and I've got an error message (see attached).  Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for your help!

I'm changing our engagement program structure and have read through all the documentation on nested programs and traffic controllers. I'm looking for clarity on the following:    1) Is the traffic controller a separate program that lives outside of the engagement program? Or, should it be a nested program within the engagement program?  2) If using nested programs, when you're adding the program to the stream, I assume the smart campaign you select is the smart campaign that's designated to actually send the email?   Thanks in advance for your help - just want to make sure I'm clear on the setup!

Hello,   We have 3 nurtures that have multiple emails with A/B testing. I need a report/dashboard that will show ALL email results (open rate, CTR, CTOR, etc.), including the A/B testing versions.    Is there anyway Marketo can do that? Hello! Trying to find a solution for this because I can't find the answer anywhere. We're looking to show a list of leads in the body of a custom email. For example:   Here are your current leads that have a status of "Open": Roger Burke: roger.burke@email.com Heather Smith: heather.smith@email.com Jordan Felix: jfelix@email.com   The criteria being lead.status == "Open". The idea is that we can set up a nice/custom email that sends our sales team leads that they should follow up on. This is specific for a division in our company that isn't using Salesforce.   I saw that maybe this could be done using Marketo's velocity email scripting but the documentation isn't very clear. Any help will be greatly appreciated!  

Hi,    I have a problem with missing trigger activations when a contact is synced first time from Salesforce to Marketo.   Scenario: In Salesforce, a contact is added to a SFDC campaign while the contact is created. In Marketo, i have a Trigger Campaign using the "Added to SFDC Campaign", that is triggering a Task to Salesforce every time a contact is added to the SFDC campaign in Salesforce.   This trigger works perfect if the contact is know in Marketo, and added to the SFDC campaign from Salesforce. However it does not trigger the Marketo campaign if the contact is added to the SFDC campaign in the first sync of that contact to Marketo.   I hope it makes sense, Thanks in advance

Hi All!   I was wondering if there was a report I could pull from marketo that could show me all of the SFDC fields that marketo is able to make updates to. 

We are trying to setup SSO in marketo using Azure. SSO settings have been updated in marketo and we have shared the Entity ID and URL (SAML response) to setup the connection in Azure. When we tested the connection, we were able to launch Marketo from Microsoft app store but landing on the Marketo Session Expired page instead of Marketo Home page. Wanted to understand where we went wrong and looking for any guidance. Hi Community,    Through Marketo REST API, I am looking for a method (easy or not) to export data field value changes for a specific Marketo field and a group of leads. Are there any tips or code examples I can refer to?   Essentially, an ideal export file would include the following:    Email Address | Date Changed | Previous Value | New Value

We design a template for email: " Right-image and Left text", and "Right-text and Left-image". For the template "Right-image and Left text" which has an issue on Mobile.  We want to display the right-image above the left-text on Mobile. How can we achieve it? 

Hi Marketo Experts,   Is it a good idea to include engagements from sales insights emails in scoring model ? it should be considered as separate. I believe it should be given a higher score then normal marketing communication since sales is already engaging with prospects

I'm curious if anyone has found a way to filter out certain prospects from showing up in the chrome extension of Marketo Sales Insight? While the easy solution would be to change the owner of the person, I'm trying to avoid that. The issue is that I only want to show non-customers, but existing customers flood the results and make it unusable.

Hi all, I'm trying to configure SSO via Azure AD. I followed the msdocs tutorial but I bump into an issue that is already described on this link. SAML Assertion Not Passed from Azure to Marketo  The sign-on URL is empty as described in the article. Was anyone able to successfully configure SSO with Azure AD? The organization has users globally and noticing List Imports tend to come in with bad data / not following standardization processes prior to upload. The Marketo Admin (or even just a single user) would like to be notified when someone is added leads via list import to review and approval or update before the import happens. Are there any ways to setup something for this to happen? -  or open to any other ideas on how to audit a list import prior to the leads being imported with Marketo functionality? The other idea was to limit Import access for Users and they all need to be sent internally to the Admin to upload but I don't think that is the first choice they'd like to go with. I believe there has been internally trainings on how to properly do a list import but it hasn't stuck. Thanks!

Hi all, we got a scenario of the exact same webinar hosted in several platforms (BrightTALK and on our website). I'm trying to think what's the best way to set this up in Marketo + SFDC: should it be 2 separate programs, or the same one? I'm creating a registration page in Marketo for a webinar with GoToWebinar and I'm trying to find a way to display the current number of registrants on the registration page. I feel like this is something Marketo should be able to do as we have an integration with GoToWebinar, but I haven't yet figured out a way to make it work. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions? Hi ,   I have this requirement where when we forward an email, the recipients should be able to click CALL TO ACTION links on email.  when I am testing by forwarding,  the link is not accessible in outlook in the above block.  Any suggestions please. We want CTA to work even when email is forwarded from outlook.    Thanks, Srilekha
