Adobe Marketo Engage General

Excited about the addition of new Program Member Custom Fields!   Question - can these be utilized in SFDC, such as on the campaign member level?   For example, it would be great to update utm_medium for a program in Marketo and have that sync to a SFDC campaign member field.

Hello all,I am having an issue and was hoping someone here might have an idea or solution to resolve what we are running into. We have custom duplication rules in place where if a net new lead fills out a form with one company "mkto PortCo Most Recent" and then that same person fills out a different form for a different company, that it creates a duplicate lead rather than update the existing record. For example, if someone fills out a "Company X" form and then later fills out a "Company Y" form, it should create a lead for the person with both companies rather than update the company from "Company X" to "Company Y".  We have a .js code that was supposed to help solve this issue. We had a member of our team place this on the back-end of a testing form/landing page. This .js clears the Mkto tracking cookie upon submission of the form, if the pixel was causing the issue a quick test of multiple submissions using the same email but different companies (mkto portco most recent) w

We have munchkin tracking deployed on multiple domains - both live production sites and their respective development sites.   For site A, tracking of known visitors is working on both Live and Dev. For site B, tracking of known visitors is working on Live but not on Dev   I have been trying to debug why we aren't seeing tracking on Site B Dev but am at a loss.  This is where I have got to: The same Munchkin code is on both Dev and Live and is deployed using the same method Form fills are being tracked on both Dev and Live I am seeing visitWebPage POSTs being sent on both Dev and Live The difference appears to revolve around _mkt_trk On Live _mkt_trk cookie exists and is sent along with the form post On Dev the _mkt_trk cookie exists in Chrome but not in Firefox and in both browsers the value sent along with the form fill POST is null There is no difference in the browser settings used for the Dev and Live sites What I can't figure out is why there is no _mkt_trk cook

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place... I cloned a form that has custom CSS. It appears the custom CSS does not get cloned, so I copied it from my original form to the form I cloned. However, the forms are still displaying differently. The main issue is that the field labels are showing up twice in my new form, but I'd like them to display only within the field, as they do on my original form. I do not know enough to edit CSS on my own, which is why I was cloning a form that already had the custom CSS I wanted to use. Does anyone know why copying the custom CSS over wouldn't have the form display the same way? Thanks in advance for any feedback. -Danielle

Hi!  We have stylized our marketo forms so when they are embedded on our website they have our brand css styling applied. I now need to provide a vendor with our marketo form embed code and provide the styling in that form so it will render prettier than they do out of the box.Possible or not? TYIA

In an invite that I am trying to send out the HTML shows that the links are pointing to the landing page that I want the links to go to, however, when I do a test email, all the links are go to our company website homepage. I checked the branded domain and it shows our go. (our brand). com domain.  What could be the issue and how do I resolve?

I have looked at the Marketo documentation and API documentation and cannot find where I can find the details behind these emails.  Like: origin of the request, what the request was, full details of the error etc.

Hello Community!   I am trying to use the Marketo Lightbox form on an AEM Landing page which already contains multiple Marketo forms. The idea is to display a specific form in Lightbox when a link is clicked. Currently, the script used is displaying all the Marketo forms in Lightbox overlapping each other.   I tried to insert the form using the attribute but it doesn't work. Ex -  lightbox(form[data-formid=19103]).show(); Any suggestions would be appreciated!   <script> MktoForms2.whenReady(function (form) { $(".Form1").click(function () { MktoForms2.lightbox(form).show(); }); }); </script>

Hello, is there an easy way to identify all programs a lead is member of? Or in ideal case .... to not just find the programs but to export all program member data fields of that programs? Thanks and best regardsWolfram

Hi, I am looking for a suggestion to automate the data flow of attendees in Marketo. Currently, we are sticking to the manual approach which is adding the list of attendees post the event in Marekto campaign then sending out the emails. However, I am trying to automate this manual approach. Upon the event creation, I will activate the attendees campaign and the data will flow in Marketo and the emails will be issued automatically. Hosting Platforms: ON24 and Teams. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I'm working on a strategy to hide the Opt In field for people who have already consented by using visibility rules to Show the Opt In field if Marketing Consent Date field is empty based on this thread: Solved: Opt-In Checkbox on Form - Marketing Nation (marketo.com)   However, I'm running into an issue where the Opt In field label needs to be versioned/dynamic for multiple languages based on the Country field selected. Since the Opt In field already has visibility rules related to marketing consent date, I'm blocked on how to accomplish the multiple languages requirement.  Does anyone have a creative solution for this?

A matrix scoring model lets you cross-reference ideal customer profiles (ICPs) against engagement. Rather than qualifying leads based solely on engagement, a matrix scoring model allows you to divide and segment your audience with greater depth and decide who to surface to Sales, when to do so, and who to suppress from qualifying as MQLs. Crucially, you can measure and benchmark your lead groups against small sub-populations of your audience to better refine how you qualify or suppress leads.     In this post, you’ll learn step-by-step how to build and use a matrix scoring model in Marketo Engage. One key thing to note before getting into matrix scoring: If you build a program like this, you’ll need to be mindful when you turn it on of how many people you’re processing into the program at one time!   Obviously, the last thing you want to do is overload your SFDC sync or general system processing. This means you’ll also need to think about where you’re creating fields and

Hi    I'm new to the Marketo Community and not sure if this the best board to ask questions about Marketo email templates.    We are a adding a new modular email template to Marketo with Gmail Annotations but getting this error message:  "Marketo does not allow javascript or script tags in email HTML. Please refresh your browser."   Has anyone had a similar problem? Thank you 🙂

We currently have certain lifecycle stages that are updated by stages on an opportunity. So if a person has an opportunity at a certain stage it updates the lifecycle stage to X, if it is won it updates the person to won, if its lost etc etc.    My question is how would this be affected by a person with multiple opportunities? Does Marketo distinguish between which opportunity is updating the stage, or is each opportunity a viable trigger and the lifecycle stage will just match the status value of the last updated record?

This post is an experiment: can a cool technical hack be communicated without extra prose... that is, can I shut up for once? If it doesn’t make sense, ask in the comments! 😉   In Form Editor, just add the field with type Select — options don’t need to be listed there.   <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <meta class="mktoString" mktoName="Job Title Option" id="Title-0" default="Select...|"> <meta class="mktoString" mktoName="Job Title Option" id="Title-1" default="Choice 1"> <meta class="mktoString" mktoName="Job Title Option" id="Title-2" default="Choice 2"> <meta class="mktoString" mktoName="Job Title Option" id="Title-3" default="Choice 3"> <meta class="mktoString" mktoName="Job Title Option" id="Title-4" default=""> <meta class="mktoString" mktoName="Job Title Option" id="Title-5" default=""> <title>Test Page</title> </head> <

Hello,    Are there any email nurture visuals out there that folks would be willing to share?    I am looking to share a visual with stakeholders outside of Marketing Ops via flowchart, ppt, etc that helps show nurture flow, audience management via Lytics audiences, and nurture controller.    My visual will include the following which is in chronological order but the lead can enter at any stage depending on their behavior.    Brand nurture x1 Multiple Journeys x3  Sales Plays x 8  Sublevel Solutions x12

Hi,   I am trying to delete a segment that we won't be using, I understand that you have to look at the used by tab and delete the reference of the segment from the email content(remove dynamic content based on the segment), Smart lists, smart list of email programs.Recently Marketo blocked changes in the smart list of an email program once it is approved/sent. So I am unable to remove the reference of the segment from the smart list of these email programs.   I couldn't find any way around in the community for this, Is there any other way, except to delete the whole email program? Thanks!Ash

I'm trying to see the open and click rates within a subset of the recipients of an email send.   I can see the open and CTR of the full email, but if I want to see the performance of a subset of the audience I'm not finding a way to do so.    For example, if I send an email to a whole USA audience, but want to just see how it performed with my audience in Virginia, the smartlist function in the email insights doesn't seem to allow for adjustment.   Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to put my Marketo from/reply-to sender address on a type of allow-list so that when emails deployed from Marketo to Outlook recipients do not have a BULK/MARKETING disclaimer. I was advised that in order to do so, the Marketo from/reply-to has to be static.   I've removed all token elements from my Marketo from/reply-to sender address in question, and it is still not static.... anyone have any idea what other change I can look into to make it static? I'd also like to mention that I'm on a shared IP in case that plays into anything.   Thank you!

Hi All,   We are syncing to and SFDC custom object that is linked to the Lead Object (1st level). When we try to create an email script token, the custom object is not available on the right field selection window. We tried resyncing the schema and disabling and reenabling the SFDC sync and it is still not available. I have confirmed that the SFDC Marketo integration user has full access to the object and fields in SFDC.

Hi all  I want to create a custom field that will contain a formula that will read the email address of the record and capture the email email domain. Is this possible? Can someone share a formula that works? Thanks in advance Anastasia

Hi everyone,   I want to set up a transition rule in an Engagement Program that 'skips' a stream if a lead visits certain webpages on our website. The Engagement Program consists of three streams with content.   I already have a trigger set up that moves leads from Stream 1 to 2, and Stream 2 to 3 when they click a certain link in an email, but I also want to move the leads from Stream 1 to Stream 3 if they visit a webpage that corresponds to a link in one of the emails that they havent yet received in Stream 2. I want to use the Advanced Filters option in the Smart List in order to set this up, but it seems like I don't have that option in an Engagement Program.    Any suggestions on how I can set this up?   Thanks!
