It's been a very long time since the last improvement to the Salesforce connector. Browsing the community product and Idea sections enables to see how much some improvement is needed. So I wrote this recap on all the ideas that would really make a difference and enable the Marketo / SFDC connector to widen the gap again with the competition, which has been catching up over the past 2 years.The first item would be an increase in performance, as we just got for MS Dynamics in the Spring'16 release (Release Notes: Spring '16 - Marketo Docs - Product Docs). I'm currently working on creating a smart campaign to manage the expiration of clients' implied consent after two years, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. The consent date field type is in a date format, and I'm seeking assistance in optimizing the smart campaign for this purpose. Below is a screenshot of the Smart list section of the smart campaign. I am trying to expire the consent after 2 years of their consent date.  If anyone has experience with similar campaigns or suggestions on how to effectively implement the expiration of consent after two years, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Friday, Community! Today I learned that a Marketo user with a Marketing User role couldn't see Performance Insights in the Analytics section of our instance. As I checked through that role's permissions (BOY, I would love a search function in that area!), I couldn't find anything related to Performance Insights in the Access Analytics section or elsewhere:That led me to check the role details for Marketo Admins, and there's a specific line item for Performance Insights within the Access Analytics settings:While searching for more information on this, I came across a post where a non-admin user had access to MPI so I feel like I'm missing something here 😋 Is there another setting that I should update to allow this to show on a non-admin role? Do I have to request this be specifically added for our instance? While I love a good Friday mystery, this one seems really odd to me and like I'm going to smack my head when someone tells me what the issue is.&nbs

I'm seeking some input here. I'm putting together an email performance report and realized I mistakenly sent one email twice to the same audience on different days. Instead of seeing the total delivered, I want to track the number of unique email addresses that received the email in the report.I experimented with the smart list features in the report, like 'was sent this day' or 'not was sent this day,' but it seems the numbers weren't accurate. They either showed significantly fewer or the actual total delivered. 

Hi allHaving a weird issue, any advice greatly appreciated!I have a webform in which one of the fields isn't cooperating.Field type = StringField type on webform = checkboxesThe field only displays 5 of the 9 values I'm telling it to display. I don't believe there is a limit dictated by the CSS/code of the website, dictating # of checkboxes the webform will display. I've experimented with having the webform display only the 4 values that it typically refuses to display, and even then, it just displays 0 checkboxesThe field is a String field, not a multi-select picklist, so it's not like there's only certain values that the field will accept.Also (not sure how relevant this is) but the field only exists in Marketo, not Salesforce or any other integrated system.Here is a link to the page that contains the webform: https://www.gozego.com/company/zego-product-pricing/Any advice? Hi Community, We have an issue where we have built a form in one of our many partitions. This form is embedded on an external website. The way it works is someone fills out the form and if their email address exists in this specific partition, they get opted into SMS marketing messages via a smart campaign we have built. The problem we are seeing is that if someone fills out the form and uses an email that already exists in Marketo but in a different partition, the form fillout gets attributed to that existing record in the other partition and they do not get opted into SMS messages because they do not exist in the dedicated partition where the campaign is run.What we would like to have happen is that if the person who fills out the form does not have an account in the dedicated partition, we would like one to be created. However, we currently have the Email field blocked from getting updated via form fillout because we don't want our data to get messy and unmanageable. 

Is it possible to generate a smart list or report that displays all records that failed to update? For instance, when an individual attempts to modify their job title on a web form for an existing record, but the update fails. Thank you.

I have not yet turned on 'force sso' but I don't see the option to 'bypass sso' when editing my api user role.  Can someone post a screenshot of bypass sso appearing in the edit role screen?

Hi there,Our Salesforce account has a good amount of old leads (40k+) that we don't want to have transfer over into our Marketo account. When the Marketo sync is enabled though, those leads are automatically sent over from Salesforce into our Marketo account and we have to pause the sync and delete those old leads. We want our information syncing between the two systems, but if someone is an old account in Salesforce then we don't want them to transfer over. Is there a way to block that from happening, and if so how?I think the answer here is probably possible, but I'm not sure how to go about accomplishing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

Hello! Marketo states in their documentation that Smart Campaigns can be shared across workspaces.  https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/marketo/using/product-docs/administration/workspaces-and-person-partitions/understanding-workspaces-and-person-partitions.html?lang=en And I wonder what that means. Yes, you can share folders in "Marketing Activities". In fact, only the highest level folder in a Workspace can be shared. If you do that, a locked - shared - folder appears in the target workspace with the complete empty folder structure of the source Workspace in it. What could be the purpose of this feature? You still can't reference a Smart Campaign from the Source WS in the Target WS. (Neither request campaign nor execute campaign brings up these Smart Campaigns.)You see the tokens of the Source WS in your Target WS, but as you can put anything underneath that Shared Folder, you can't use them in any way. Before today I didn't even know that you could

Hello!Looking for a little clarification on how Custom Object records work. My assumption is that a "record" is basically a row of data tied to a Lead.So in this image example:Records Image.PNGThat would indicate there is 402,127 rows of data tied in any number of Leads. Is this correct?Also unsure of how records are calculated? According to our Adobe Rep we have 4 Million records allowed in our contract, but adding up the totals across all Custom Objects in the Admin area is more than 5 Million records?Is it typically x number of records PER OBJECT or Across ALL Objects? Sorry for the questions but our Rep keeps asking follow-up questions about fields and things and I just need a straight answer on how records work in this context. 🙂

I have an email template, and I want the user to be able to add custom style tags to a global variable, so that it gets place inside the head tags. This seems to work if you have a short string, like customizing the phrase in the title tags, but if you attempt to do this for style tags, containing CSS, the resulting code will move the style tags into the body tags. Does anybody know if this is possible to do?

I would require some help on the below points.1 If an engagement program has only one stream and leads have exhausted all of the content:a. If an email is added on top of the stream, will the leads receive all of the other content again?b. If the email is added at the bottom, will the exhausted leads get the email? 2 When adding a new email to activated programs, what things to keep in mind?3 When adding new leads to activated programs, what things to keep in mind?4 If an engagement program has three streams and new content is added to the 2nd stream, would it affect anything?5 When to pause the nurture program?6 When could we remove leads from the nurture?7 Which reporting metrics are important to keep? 

Hi,  Does anyone have a solution to creating a direct link from Marketo to the corresponding lead/contact in SF on the Custom Person Layout so that we can easily navigate to it? I've included a screenshot of a hyperlink field, but it's not clickable. Support claims there is no way to accomplish this but I'm blown away by this. With Pardot, it was easy to navigate back and forth from Pardot to SF and back with a single click.  Thanks,

When we assign values to a token within a flow, do these values persist throughout the session? For instance, if a trigger activates for 10 leads, will the newly assigned value remain consistent for all of them within that trigger event?We're integrating G2 intent data, which has a feature that notifies us when a company views our profile, pricing pages, or other content. It sends data indicating that this company, along with all associated leads and contacts in our SFDC, has shown engagement. I'm navigating a nurture program with three streams in Marketo, each with three emails. Currently, four recipients have exhausted the content, four are in the 2nd, and two are still in the 1st stream. Considering adding more content to the 1st stream, I'm curious: How does Marketo handle transitioning individuals to new content dynamically, especially those who've exhausted previous content or are in the 2nd stream?
