Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi Everyone,   On all of our Marketo forms we will have a field called 'Lead Source Most Recent' and in most of the cases it will be hard-coded with a static value (for instance the value could be Email (or) LinkedIn, etc) and the field by itself is a hidden field within the form. The issue with this approach is that whenever a lead fills out a form and no matter where they are coming from, their Lead Source Most Recent will always be the static value that was assigned to it at the form level. Now, the paid media team wants it to be channel specific depending upon where the response is coming from. So if the lead is coming from Google search then the 'Lead Source Most Recent' needs to say something like 'Organic Search' or if the lead is coming from LinkedIn side then the 'Lead Source Most Recent' needs to say 'LinkedIn'.   What is the best way to implement this? Please advise.

Hello,   I have a Marketo Date token in my event program. If I select a date from the Calendar as "April 27, 2023", it shows as "2023-04-27" in my email. Can I make the date to show as "April 27, 2023" or at least "Apr 27, 2023" in my email?   Thanks, Yavor

Hey everyone,    I'm pretty new in email automation and would really need some help in regards to AB testing whole emails.   I'm working on an abandoned cart campaign where I'm AB testing 2 same mails with different sales (10% off and 15% off). I set it up in half (50% champion /50% challenger) and set up my reports to be sent every 3 weeks as to check progression.    Since the start of the campaign (December 2022), I've received no reports in regards to email performances (realized it a bit late I know) and I've been trying to get them straight from Marketo but I actually have no idea where.    Any help would be much appreciated!  Thank you!

We consistently send around 5-6 million emails per month, and have done so for years. However we only have 8 unsubscribed customers where the unsubscribe reason contains "Customer Complaint Received from ISP" (or even just the word "complaint") per the knowledgebase article below:   https://nation.marketo.com/t5/knowledgebase/feedback-loops-fbl/ta-p/248685   While I'm confident in our general content, segmentation and list hygiene practices, this still seems highly unlikely. What is Self Service Flow Step (SSFS)? Functionality released by Marketo Engage Product to integrate external web services with Smart Campaigns. In other terms – an enhanced version of Webhooks.   SSFS allows you to design and deploy custom flow actions as web services, that can be used directly by Marketo Smart Campaigns. SSFS is designed for Marketo users that want to build deeper integrations with Marketo Smart Campaigns. SSFS works with Trigger, Batch, and Executable campaigns (later two are not available with legacy webhooks). Custom Flow Actions can send data from lead records and Smart Campaign context to and external web service for processing, and then write lead and activity data back to your Marketo database. In the continuation of the Email Verification rollout, Marketo Engage activated the feature on additional subscriptions between April 18th and April 25th. These subscriptions have Single Sign On enabled and “Require SSO” in the subscription password settings. Marketo Engage encountered some challenges at rollout and released a patch on Wednesday, April 26th, to fix any unexpected behavior. The email had tokens which were not properly formatted, resulting in incorrectly displayed text. This is not a phishing attempt, and Marketo Engage is working to correct the email formatting issue. In the meantime, users who received the email can click the provided link and verify their email address. ⚠️ The custom config in this post is no longer necessary post-2021, as the Forms 2.0 library has been updated to load everything from your LP domain.   While you should be loading embedded forms from your Marketo LP domain, it turns out just changing the URL is not enough.   Using a non-Marketo-owned domain to load forms2.min.js and call loadForm() seems to avoid collateral damage from Tracking Protection (Firefox’s built-in feature or the equivalent plugin for another browser). The form will at least show up on the page if you do that.   But – I’m sure you will be dismayed to learn – the form still won’t post under TP! You also need to upload a file to Design Studio and add a tiny bit of JavaScript. Hello Community Friends,   I'm investigating 7 leads from the same organization that Marketo has identified as bots. Looking at each of them, I've noticed the following things:   They have been in our database for a while (1-2 years)  They have received regular emails but have only experienced this bot issue recently (from September 2022 onward) Several leads that received an email on December 7 showed the first click as normal (Bot Activity Pattern = N/A) but by the third click (all in the same minute), the lead shows Bot Activity = Match with IAB bots list Most don't have an "Open Email" activity but are registering click activity, except for one lead that has four email clicks and the open email activity 44 minutes later Questions: Is this a case of the bot/IAB list misidentifying those leads? Hello,    We have some members from our sales department that would like to use the source code from our Marketo Emails for their Salesloft emails. My immediate thought is this would be a bad idea. I know it is possible to plug the HTML code into other email providers, but are there any reasons why we would not want to use Marketo email code with other email providers?    My concern is how the custom Marketo email is coded and how it will render if the email is not sent through Marketo, especially since this is a custom-coded email and uses Marketo syntax.   Of course, we would strip the Marketo email of all tokens and URLs before pulling the HTML/CSS, but what else should I be considering?

Hello Everyone,    We want to send an email to our recent concluded event attendees (we have received an attendee list from our vendor) in that email we want to share a unique code with attendees so with that unique code they can avail their goodies/gifts. How can we send an email to all the attendees with an unique code. We want to allot an unique code to every attendee. How can we do it?  

My company sends out nurture emails on a weekly basis and we see a fair amount of autoreplies that say an individual has retired or left the company. Is there a way to automate cleaning up these leads (ie mark as dead or delete)? Open to third-party solutions if nothing is native to Marketo to do this.  

In outlook calendar can able to track in marketo that people who are booked for meeting?

Hello everyone,   we have strange behavior in a smart campaign. All contacts come via API calls. We have the following triggers and filters.     The strange thing is that only contacts that already exist in Marketo runs through the campaign. New contacts that aren't already in Marketo won't make it through the campaign, even though all the prerequisites are met. We have already tested some changes to the triggers and filters, but so far without success. We have absolutely no idea what it could be. Hi there,   I'm a product manager at an events company, and we are building an integration with Marketo. One of the use cases that we are solving for, is that once a Marketo Program is connected with out Event/Webinar, we automatically pull all the Program Member data to our database and register them in our systems.    I wanted to understand if there's a use case for deleting Program Members in Marketo and what are the scenarios where a marketer would do that.   If there are valid cases, then we will proceed to build the integration in such a way that if a Program member is deleted in Marketo, then they get automatically deleted in our events platform as well. Hi Community,My company is launching a Google Analytics Integration with our Marketo instance. We are following the guide posted to the Marketo Community found here on Page 5: Seamless Marketo - Google Analytics Integration The one snag we've hit is that the new web hook refuses to publish. I receive nothing but the dreaded error message, "url must not contain invalid chars or json". All of the fields are entered correctly, but there appears to be an issue with the "Lead.Marketo Unique Code" field (Token: {{Lead.Marketo Unique Code}} ). I've learned that this is a native field in Marketo, which was originally hidden. I've tried creating the webhook with the field both as hidden as well as unhidden. When I search for the token using the "URL Insert Token" function during creating the webhook, the field can't be found there. Hi,My company just started with Marketo and have yet to sync Salesforce with Marketo. I could use some recommendations on the best way to dedicate a Salesforce license to Marketo. Here are the various scenarios I am thinking about. I don't think scenario 1 is a fit for us.Out of scenario 2 or 3, do you think one would work better for us in the long run? Hi Marketo Community!   I am trying to instal the Bizible managed package in salesforce. Upon installing it and opening the tab there is a text displaying "We Moved" with a hyperlink which leads me to a "Server Error! There seems to be an error with the server.".   Has anyone experienced this?    Thanks in advance!

For various reasons, sometimes fields need to be cleaned up/hidden within Marketo. This requires removing field references first, which ensures the field is not in use prior to hiding from the Maketo UI.   However, when a field is in use in the Smart List of an Email program AND that Email program has been sent, there appears to be no way to remove the field from the Smart List.  Of course, one can obviously delete the email program altogether, but this results in loss of any metrics, the email asset itself, etc.   I have engaged with Support, but meanwhile, I'm curious if anyone else ever dealt with this before.
