Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi guys,   I was wondering how to add left and right padding to a Marketo email module.. CSS isn't my forte.

While programmatically manipulating content (e.g. emails, landing pages, forms, etc.) via the Marketo REST API is one of the less-common use cases that we see in Consulting, it can be a life saver in some circumstances. I recently needed to add an additional field to every form in a customer’s instance and, given the volume of forms, this would have been a huge and labor-intensive task if done manually through the UI. I'll start with this super-basic form:     Adding the field itself via the API is fairly straightforward, though it does, of course, vary based on the type of field and other specific parameters like visibility rules and such. Hoping someone can give some light on the impacts of changing our Salesforce sync user email address incase my plan breaks everything.   When we set up our sync I was set-up in Salesforce as the Sync user with my own email address being used( which have different profile).However  I was going to set up a  new profile and new email address which would be something like marketosync@company.com for the Marketo sync user profile to use.   If I create this I am planning on literally switching the email addresses in the Sync User profile- would there be any impact this would cause any issues?   Any advice would be great!

Marketo Engage made changes to the URL structure for Landing Pages, Forms, and Images & Files assets. On August 1, 2023 we will be deprecating usage of old URL structures and these references will no longer load on the web. Our team did not receive any emails or notices for this and are scrambling to get this done. Can someone let us know what TIME this goes into affect? Midnight or end of day?    Thanks!

I'm interested in get to know any ideas that could able to stop fraud clicks and form fills through PPC ads. It's the different IP addresses each time. When someone make up emails and fills them.

My organization wants to score leads based on web activity, but after turning on our updated scoring, I realized that bot clicks are triggering web page visits. Looking for suggestions on how to "fix" this tracking (if possible) or ideas for other proxy metrics to score one. I have enabled and filtered bot activity in "Match with IAB List and "Match with Proximity Pattern" already.   We've stopped looking at click data because after turning on those filters, we were still get a high volume of illegitimate clicks, but if we need to exclude web page visits from our scoring, then we'd only have open emails and form fills. I'm hoping there's a better way! Thanks in advance!        

Hello, we use global forms and we have this form CTA "{{my.FormCTA}}". This way, once we create new event program, we can easily change the form CTA from Register to Watch on-demand via program token "FormCTA". But this seems to work only with the all-fields form.  It doesn't work with the Known Visitors form, as below:   <p>Welcome back, {{lead.FirstName}}!</p> <p>{{form.Button:default={{my.FormCTA}}}}</p> <p class="notYou">{{form.NotYou:default=Not you?}}</p>   I know we cannot use custom tokens in KV forms, but I know there is a way to bypass this with a JS code, I just don't know how to imlement it for the CTA button.   Thanks, Yavor

Hello Experts- My organization has seen an influx of spam/bot leads filling out our Demo Request form. From what I have been told, the complexity of our organization deems it impossible for us to use captcha. Is there another way that we can identify such spam records at the source and delete them from Marketo?

Looking for some advice/suggestions here - We utilize custom objects and unfortunately have cases where there can be multiple records of individuals under a single email address Lead. We also tend to send a hefty number of trigger and batch emails based off of met criteria.   Our current communication limits are set to 4 per day and 7 per week. My department thinks that is too high and I am being tasked with figuring out how to "hold" the email(s) until the next day if the limit has been reached.My question is - due to the multiple records problem, we have a lot of emails using Velocity scripting and looking for specific data points (like Membership Opening is 4 days ago) in order to personalize to a specific record. If I set something to hold for 12/24 hours if the communication limit is reached, then that "4 days" criteria would become 5 days by the time the limit was reset.Curious how anyone else recommends handling this? Hi there,   We are facing an issue where mistakenly new records are getting created via Preference Center and Unsubscribe page. We have tried resolving this via Email Auto fill by creating a script but since these marketo landing pages are being rendered on the website via iframe they aren't letting the script populated email addresses.    Is there any other way out someone can think of to ensure this can be managed properly.    Thanks for your assistance !!

Hello All, We're having integrations between Marketo and Oktopost. We're able to track some data about actions that a users performed in Social media. For example, we can see that a user clicked on a link on a post in Linkedin, or wrote a coment and so on. We would like our interesting moments to look like this: Clicked [social link] on a Twitter / Facebook / LinkedIn post.   We're receiveing the folowing fields for the logs coming from social media: Could somebody provide a solution how to place data from the fields highlighted on a screenshot to interesting moments or to use it in the Smart Campaigns for the future?   Thank you.

Hello, I am trying to reference email module local variables in tokens (Velocity and Rich Text), but it appears my email will not render the results. For example, I have an email module which can set the color of a hyperlink. The link style typically needs to be set to color: ${footerLinkColor}; so the selected color from the module menu appears. This works when adding the style directly to the email or within a snippet. However, this method does not work when using a token. In either a velocity script token or a rich text token, I add the following, but the color will not render: <a href="mysite.com" style="color: ${footerLinkColor}">Unsubscribe</a> Everything else renders and works correctly except for the link color. Please let me know if there is any thing to do, so this can work. Thank you!

Hi,   In my emailer, there is only one call-to-action (CTA) with a configured checkout URL. The client is providing us the data of registered users. When a recipient clicks on the checkout URL, they will be directed to their cart. After proceeding with the payment and successfully completing the transaction, another URL should be captured by Marketo to track the conversion. If a person clicks the checkout link he will be tagged as a success, will they be tagged as a success again if they reach the transaction success URL from the checkout page?    In this scenario, do we need to maintain only a single criterion for tracking the transaction success link landed from the checkout URL? or we can keep both and track success for both ? Hi Everyone,   We have three custom objects (CO) that are no longer required. We would like to delete these custom objects but they are linked in campaign and smart lists.  In order to delete CO, we first manually need to unlink the reference of this CO from campaign and smart lists where it is used.    I would like to know the following 1. Is there any API available that will help in unlinking the reference of CO? 2. Will there be any negative impact on lead activity once we unlink the CO from campaign and smart lists?

I'm looking for some best practices for creating a global program hierarchy in Marketo Spanning across several regions across the globe. SFDC limitation is that all campaigns in a single hierarchy must have the same currency which could be a challenge if the global campaign hierarchy is grouped by growth themes globally. How is this circumvented in Marketo? I'm also looking for some best practices around campaign creation rights and processes, program reporting and general thumb rules around mandatory field values to be provided by a requestor when a request for program/campaign creation is logged. Hi, We have run an interesting moment flow for historical data and realized that there was an error. Interesting moments have not been pushed yet to our CRM. Is it possible to remove the interesting moments from the activity logs before data is synchronized? Cécile @ Talend

Hi All,   We have a Dynamic chat bot flow set up for new visitors however we've noticed that chatbot is triggering for known leads also.   Chatbot audience criteria used is : Email address = empty & SFDC lead if = empty   As per my understanding dynamic chat uses munchkin code to identify the known leads, does that also mean if an existing lead use new device and interacts with bot it will be treated as new lead and later will get merged automatically by Marketo ? if yes is there suggested workaround for it as we want only new leads to through the flow.   What are other possible scenarios that bot with criteria "email address =empty" will trigger for existing leads.   Regards

Hi everyone!   My team has been dealing with spam fills on our Marketo forms for a while. We did enable Captcha earlier this year but still keep getting massive amounts of spam fill. So we started looking for other options. One of which we're considering Akismet.   But we want to know if forms can integrate with Akismet? If not, are there any other plugins we should look into?
