Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi All- we are trying to send MQL notifications to the appropriate sales reps but the issue is that the Sales Owner (Lead Owner/Contact Owner in CRM) or Account owner is not the field that we want to use as the recipient of the emails. So, for now we add the actual recipient of the email to the  'to other emails' section and leave the 'Send to' section as the Sales Owner. This leads to email going out to incorrect people and the appropriate people just being CCed on it.   So, my questions are: 1. Can any other Owner field be added in the 'Send to' drop down? OR 2. Can we set the 'Send to' to 'None' and the recipients mentioned in the 'to other emails' will still get the email?

I was thinking about creating a QR code but I was wondering how it would work with Marketo. For example, we have a trade show coming up and we want to have QR codes by the machines so they can watch YouTube videos of our products straight from their phone. What would be the best way to go about doing this so we can track who exactly watches the video, uses the QR code, etc.?Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

Marketo’s ${variable} syntax conflicts with other languages using the same dollar-single-curly-quote syntax, like good ol’ JavaScript.   So if you try to use a JS template literal in the LP Editor... <script> let a = `Report ID ${report} for ${this.name}`; </script>   ... Marketo naturally thinks you’re referring to missing variables and throws an error:   Officially, there’s no alternate syntax in Marketo (and there’s definitely no way to change the delimiter in JS). But the workaround is easy. Create a global Text token {{my.d}} just containing the single character $:     (Why {{my.d}}? Just copying Velocity’s $esc.d, which also escapes the dollar sign. You could use another name if you want, but this should be easy to remember.)   Use that token to escape the $ sign: <script> let a = `Report ID {{my.d}}{report} for {{my.d}}{this.name}`; </script>   Marketo will render this as: <script> let a = `Report ID ${report}

I'm trying to build a report that can show me the number of opportunities that have Bizible Attributed Touchpoints (BATs) against them, but I can only seem to build one that shows the number of BATs across the Opps. Has anyone been able to do this? Thanks!

Hi all!  Our database has too many prospect records and we are looking to delete any records that are in SFDC as outbound leads that do not need to be in Marketo.  We are thinking about creating a custom sync filter field on the records in Salesforce to prevent them from syncing back into Marketo.  My question is, if in the future, these records request a demo or interact with our website, are organically created in Marketo, will we be able to reset the sync? Or will the sync to the salesforce records still be blocked? Is there a way around this? or will Marketo try to create a duplicate record in SF as Marketo cannot sync the records? Thanks in advance!

Dropping new scripts and styles into a master LP template and mass-reapproving isn’t the safest route. JS might only be meant for certain forms… CSS might conflict with heavily customized pages (perhaps someone exploited the dreaded Custom Head HTML?)... trust me, stuff can go wrong.   Better to have a gentler rollout/rollback, with <script> and <link> tags toggled using a mktoBoolean.   We’ve seen people try to use HTML comments to do this, but since the open-comment <!-- and close-comment --> sequences differ, they’re impossible to control with a single variable. (There’s tricky markup that seems to work, but the resulting document is invalid HTML — unprofessional even if the browser lets it slide.)   Ideally, we’d have valid HTML, using standard attributes to make elements either enabled/active or disabled/inert. I hope the collective experience on the community can help identify the root cause for something we are running in to. I have a customer who, for reasons that are not relevant here, has two production Marketo instances and for some of the webpages on their website forms need to be submitted to both instances. The chosen solution is to have the form from the first instance visible on the page and on success do an API submission to the second instance using the submit form endpoint: https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/lead-database/leads/#submit_form From the test AEM environment (without any webserver and / or cloud machinery in front of it) both submissions work as expected, but on the live domain the API request seemingly is not reaching AEM from the dispatcher.   Has anyone seen this issue before?

I'm admin at Marketo, however, when I try to access the link I got this message:  It seems that your Adobe ID is not linked with your Adobe Experience Cloud solution accounts.Please get in touch with your Org Administrator or Adobe Enterprise Support.   Does anyone have any idea how to pass it?

I am running some nurture content in smart campaigns because we have a lot of rules and unique scoring that work better in campaigns then in nurture streams. Regardless of being ran in a smart campaign or nurture stream I haven't seen a solution for this, but I am looking for a way to delay an email  in the smart campaign from being sent out "x" amount of days when a person gets an email from any other campaign that's already active and running.

Hi there, I have a smart campaign I set up that will send a flow of emails between wait steps. For one of the emails I need show a different one depending on whether they have a particular data piece or not. I created a smart list to capture all leads that have a "code = 1". Campaign: Select all leads with status code xyz Send email 1 Wait 5 days Send email 2 (if member of x smart list, send email 2a, if not send email 2b)Smart List: Select all leads with member code =1Does this smart list continuously update? So when we get to the third step of the flow, will it still be accurate information?Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi There,    I want to establish connection between Marketo and Adobe Journey Optimizer. I followed the instructions as mentioned in the below document. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/marketo/using/product-docs/adobe-experience-cloud-integrations/set-up-adobe-organization-mapping.html?lang=en  I received the below pop-up information. My inquiry is as follows: Can we reverse this process, meaning, is it possible to disconnect the connection when required or necessary? Upon disconnection, what happens to the data? Is it automatically removed, or do we need to manually remove it from AJO? This is crucial because loading numerous records or profiles in the sandbox environment may impact the licensing cost and platform performance. Thanks in advance.

I am using lead token in Webhook call when using POST method call. But the output provide NULL value but in lead is having data for that specific field which is not reflecting. it is specific to only one field which is string type. I have not faced such issue in any other Marketo account. This is very weird does someone know why this so or what will be root cause for this?  

Hi, Does anyone know when we do the first sync between Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Marketo, will Marketo copy the entire database to Microsoft Dynamics CRM? I see the help doc only clarifies the Marketo will copy the entire  database from Dynamics but not sure the vice versa?   Thanks a lot! Ciara

Hello Everyone!We are looking at creating a field that will grab the web page the form was filled out on.  We then would like to add this as a token in and alert that goes to sales when a form is filled out?  Do anyone have any ideas of how to accomplish this?

-Long time Lurker, First Time Poster- In a nurture program with 3 streams that has been casting for multiple months, we have each of the streams cast at 10am Wednesday 'Recipient Time Zone'.  Our contacts span the globe.  We noticed in some contact's activity log that they have an "Email sent" at 3pm Tuesday, then "Email delivered" at 10am Wednesday, which makes sense. I could use some clarification on what happens if I drop new content in the stream AFTER 2pm Tuesday (after the start of the cast, but before everyone's 10am). I have found documentation about the 25 hours needed for the first cast, but does that apply to all subsequent casts? Thanks!

Hi,   I tried to use Marketo tokens in the follow-up URL but it seems it only allows my.tokens. And since we can't use tokens inside tokens.   Is there a way I can send the email of a person in the follow-up URL, like https://www.google.com/?email=aaa@bbb.com   Thanks!

Is there a way to lock the values of a mktoList? For example, we have HEX values in a mktoList so a user can select from brand colors. We have found that even those these options are available via a dropdown, someone can simply type a new HEX value into the variable field bypassing the dropdown options. Is there anyway to lock that field so they are only able to select one of the provided values?

Hi all,    I am running a campaign which has an initial batch campaign then trigger campaigns based on a prospects activity (clicks link etc). I thought some contacts were stuck in the initial wait step and removed them from the flow, however I think that was a mistake.    Can I add them back into the campaign (using request campaign via the person detail tab)? and if so, will they just pick up where they left off or will they start from the start again? Or will they not receive anything as they have technically been a member of the flow before?    Thanks in advance!  

Hi, I'm trying to create a smart campaign to do the following: Add to flow when record becomes a new client Send and email every 6 months Remove lead from flow 6 months prior to the record's 'client end date'. Repeat 10x So far I have the following:       Not too sure how the middle step options work for date so I went with 'in future'.   Would the logic for Remove from Flow work like I am aiming for? Is it possible to use a token in a wait step, not for a specific date, but a program token such as {{my.wait time}} and have the value of that token be a wait value in minutes or days, such as "15 minutes"?
