I know this may not be best practice but there is a business case I have which requires being able to give content authors the ability to override sitewide styles.  They don't have access to the file system.  Similar to how some themes in Wordpress have a form field in the theme editor that allows overriding theme styles.  Does this capability exist in AEM?

Hi Team,   I've implemented web optimization for custom components using the code from https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/cloud-service/developing/advanced/web-optimized-image-delivery-java-apis.html?lang=en. I'm making the options configurable, allowing users to set width, quality, and size.   Since there's limited documentation specific to AEM as a Cloud, I referred to https://docs.mktossl.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/getting-started-with-aem-headless/how-to/images.html#query-variables to understand the format for "size".   According to that documentation, size should be "Size of the output image (both height and width) in pixels". However, neither of these attempts worked:   options.put("size", "45 45"); options.put("size", "45"); I'm sure there's an issue with the format I'm using, but I couldn't find relevant documentation. Could anyone offer guidance on how to resolve this?   Please note: I'm working on AEM as Cloud.

Hello,I am using   /apps/core/wcm/components/carousel/v1/carousel/ as the reference This component is located on step1 of forms , this has 3 slides. When i navigate to slide2 or 3,then move to step2 of forms and come back to step1 . I need to reset the carousel component that it points to slide1  Also after resetting to slide1 ,when we navigate again to slide 2 and 3 it must work correctly Please provide inputs as how we can reset the carousel component to slide1 using JavaScript Regards,Srinivas

Hi everyone, I'm looking for references for any existing Java API that I can reuse to fetch the component style systems for an AEM page created by using a specific template and adding the default style options policy configured for that template to the page programmatically. For example, the page contains the following components:Title - Color Style optionsText - Padding & Color style optionsImage - Margin & Position style optionsThe page has all of the three components mentioned above and its content is authored. We have a requirement to fix 3 components (For Example, Component A, Component B & Component C) on the top of the specific editable template. For this template, we have also allowed other components (For Example, Component D, Component E & Component F) to be added by the authors below the fixed components.  We have achieved it by adding those components (Component A, Component B & Component C) in the structure & initial nodes of the template. But we are unable to solve the following scenarios. 1) We are not able to restrict addition of other components (Component D, Component E & Component F) on top of the fixed components (Component A, Component B & Component C). I am trying to leverage the new OpenAPIs to programatically update CF from AppBuilder runtime action.  The Create Content fragment  API works correctly. I am able to create CF from Postman. But when I try the Update CF, it is failing with 412 stating If-Match header is failing.  Now, the way I run is, I am calling List CF, getting the UUID of CF from response and passing to PUT request. I am reading If-Match header needs should be populated with `ETag`. But my List CF response is NOT returning any ETag as explained in documentation. This is the List CF responseOnly an id is returned by GET method. If any additional headers required to force the GET method to return `ETag`. Or any alternate workaround to get past If-Match header validation?  CORRECTION:I was able to find the etag in the response header of GET CF<id> method. But this makes API more difficult to use. I only have CF path and want to patch update. The process sounds to be:Find CF ID

I have scheduled exam for Adobe Experience Manager Professional sites developer certification exam, I also joined before 15 mins of scheduled time & exam proctoring window started, It downloaded an app & asked to join session on GoTo meetings app. But it kept saying "waiting for join". I waited for 15 mins after the exam also. But no one joined to start the session. I contacted to examity chat support. They started new meeting but there also no one joined & now exam is showing incomplete. They asked to reschedule the exam without taking exam. Please need help in this situation. I also mailed to certif@adobe.com & waiting for their response. Please guide to get refund or atleast reschedule exam without fee for next. I won't be able to pay $95 again for certification. I request community & adobe employees to please provide some solution

We are planning to set up Akamai as the CDN to replace the default Fastly configuration and have added the following headers accordingly. <LocationMatch "^/.*\.html$">Header set Surrogate-Control "max-age=0, no-store, no-cache"</LocationMatch> But it is still caching the content in fastly and I can see "x-cache" header is set. Also I noted that "Surrogate-Control" header is not present. Is it omitted by Fastly ? Am I doing correct config? Please let us know if you have replaced fastly with any other cdn.

Hi all, I watched the post Using Splunk for Log Search & Monitoring on AEM as a Cloud Service at https://blog.arborydigital.com/splunk-setup-aem-cloud-service-aemaacs. What are we exactly monitoring here?I see we are collecting the Application logs. So, we are monitoring aemaacs? How about analytics, target, etc? What about the infra logs?Or Splunk is limited to software application logs only and infrastructure logs are out of scope? I remember we use different products for monitoring the infra to know uptime of servers, alerting admins in case of server failures, etc. Ex: LogicMonitor.Are these products of different class? I highly appreciate all your replies. Thanks,RK.
