Component level rollout option

Hi,

 

For any new component, when not authored, I am able to see the Name of the component and the blue box. But, when I click on it, I don't see the rollout option (I see all other options like edit, copy etc.).

Once I author the component, I am able to see the rollout option for it. 

 

Is this an expected behavior?

      It seems that is the way it should work.
      Can you please inspect the component markup in your browser and see if you see "cq-placeholder" class when component is not authored yet. In that case since it has no content, there should be no point rolling-out it to live copy pages.
