Adobe Experience Manager Forms

In our business case we are rendering the XFA based form using AEM Forms 6.5 OSGI Output service. The rendering is taking around 2 minutes to complete. The size of XDP is around 8 Mb. It contains a repeatable sub-form which works fine and do the conversion in 20-25 sec if the iteration is around 5. For more iterations it takes longer time.What are option by which we can optimize performance?How can we improve server side performance with Output service?What are caching options with Output service?

I am experiencing an issue where any form I open in LiveCycle Designer, the form hierarchy objects that are not text are greyed out and not accessible for editing.  I cannot click on the objects in the Design View, but everything works accordingly in Preview.  These forms were created directly in LiveCycle Designer.  I was working fine all morning and when scrolling must have turned something/on or off in the application, but cannot figure out what that setting is.

Hello, Could someone provide me input as what could be the best way to store the URL parameters and how to do it. I have 2 forms.  [FORM1 and FORM2]1>When we hit the 1st  AEM FORM1 with URL parameter say ?key=value Then we need to pass this key and its value to FORM2 through a URL redirection. What will be the best way to pass this key from Form 1 to Form2. This key will be needed to be submitted on submit of FORM2. 2>We will also need to remove this stored key and its value after form submit on Form2 .so that we are  ready to take up new key and value incase user hits again Form1. Please suggest how could I store the param keys which could be used across FORM1 and FORM2 Any code samples on this will be helpful. Regards,Srinivas Regards,Srinivas  

Hi Team,I tried to setup aem forms and installed the EAR files in Websphere and started the web applications.Getting following error in Aem forms admin ui.ALC-DSC-099-000: com.adobe.idp.applicationmanager.application.ApplicationManagerException: com.adobe.idp.dsc.registry.service.NoActiveServiceConfigurationException: There is no active service configuration for service: ApplicationManager And I tried to restart the services in service management tab and I can see most of the services are inactive. Attached the screenshot. And when I try to restart, getting below issue.ALC-AAC-0017-000: Service(s) failed to start. It could be configuration problem.Can someone please help to to resolve this issue. Attached the document

I was going through the Adobe Documentation for A/B testing on AEM Forms it surprisingly caught me that they have discontinued the feature.https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/forms/integrate-aem-forms-with-experience-cloud-solutions/ab-testing-adaptive-forms.html?lang=en  Any ideas why? 

I'm using AEM Forms and I use a lot of fragments. Sometimes the fragments have some code, for example the company header that can change depending on the brand code. One thing I noticed is that  when you use those fragments on a form, if you click on that fragment, the code appears to not be editable (grayed-out), and if you try to type something it won't allow you, but, if you press some keys like tab or enter or space bar, the code will start to be editable. And you might even not edit anything (maybe you just added an enter accidentally), but the entire fragment code will now be in the form's XML source code. And once this code is in the form's xml code, the fragment kinda loses it's point (in the form that you accidentally "edited"), because from now on, any code that you add to your fragment will be ignored, because the program will actually use the code that is in the forms xml source. So my question is if there would be any way to protect myself from this?  Here i

Hello everyone, I have a requirement where i have table with multiple line item and i want to concatenate the all the subsequent line items in tabel from same column into first line item field, For example after executing the form if there are three line item lets say100200 300then first line item field should have 100,200,300 stored in it for all the line items that will be ther after executing the form using scripting I have tried using FOR loop but it keeps repeating way too many times Any help will be appriciated

I have searched in google for this and i found this     // Current Date in MMM DD, YYYY style in uppercase.      $.rawValue = Upper(num2date(date(), "DDMMMYY"))but i don't want the current date, i want the date i select in the Date/Time Field.i tried this but it didn't work     $.rawValue = Upper($.rawValue)can someone help me?

The latest Swagger v3 has YAML format.   Does AEM support Swagger definition in YAML format or it has to convert to JSON in order for AEM to parse?  Tried with petstore.yaml with that latest SP 14 and the create data source UI hang.   

Hi everyone,I'm working on Adaptive form in which I've dropdown for Country Names. Now, I want to populate the list of full country name, but the values should be their 3-letter code. Something like below. <option value="AZE">Azerbaijan</option> <option value="AUS">Australia</option> Adding 105 items manually to the dropdown field is lengthy. So, I tried Function Output feature of AF but I can only populate country names without their codes like below: <option value="United States">United States</option> <option value="Norway">Norway</option>Got above output by using this:const countryList = [ "Afghanistan", "Albania", "Algeria", "American Samoa"];But can't leverage this:const countryListAlpha3 = { "AFG": "Afghanistan", "ALB": "Albania", "DZA": "Algeria"};Using country list from this (line 528 have 3-letter codes) GitHub link. Good morning, Just wondering if i can dynamically adjust the height of a subform to match another one? I see theres examples out there to give the textbox.h a value, but i wonder if its doable on a subform?? Any ideas if it is?? Thx a bunch again

I have a date field named dateStart and a date field named dateEnd.The dateEnd field needs to automatically fill with the date that is 90 days after the dateStart field, which the user enters. I've tried different options and never get it right.  Can someone please provide a sample of the code to accomplish this?

Hi All,We are designing a adobe form in Life Cycle designer.We have three master pages (say MPage1, MPage2 & Mpage3)And we have one Body page(subform\Page) in which we have table who's data is getting displayed over 5 to 10 Pages.Now for this boy page (Bpage1) in the "Pagigation" tab we have set content area of MPage1 and for overflow content area of MPage2.What we need now is first page should be MPage1 and 2nd page should be Mpage2 - (this is working fine as well)After that we need 3rd page as MPage3 and 4th page as MPage2 and so on.That means after first page, we need Page 2 & 3 should be repeated one after the other.Like - MPage1-- MPage2 -- Mpage3 -- MPage2 -- Mpage3 -- MPage2 -- Mpage3 -- MPage2 -- Mpage3We believe, on the table, on some event, through Java coding we need to change "Overflow Page" setting depending on current page number.So how to set, which page should be used as nextoverflow page.Kindly suggest.Regards,Amit

Hello,This might be dumb question, but I wanted to know in which location does the css changes are saved when we edit/create theme vs when we add css/styling to form fields in Style Mode any Form?I believe theme changes are saved in /etc folder for respective theme. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) 

Hi Everyone,   I am facing an issue with the FDM regarding the swagger configuration. I want to have a flat structure JSON Model request for the API and it is working fine in the Swagger Editor (Version 2) but for some reason when I use this YAML to create a FDM it encapsulates the flat json into a parent object.   Expected (Working in Swagger Editor 2.0): { "created": "2023-01-19T12:01:16.734Z", "noteAdministration": "xyz", "noteCustomer": "abc", "origin": "Homepage", "person": { "firstname": "abc", "lastname": "xyz" }, "productId": "0000" } Generated (By FDM): { "lead": { "created": "2023-01-19T12:01:16.734Z", "noteAdministration": "xyz", "noteCustomer": "abc", "origin": "Homepage", "person": { "firstname": "abc", "lastname": "xyz" }, "productId": "0000" } } Notice that "lead" key has been added at the top of the JSON. Hi, We are integrating AEM adaptive forms with Service Now attachment API. I am able to successfully test the API through Postman using form-data but through AEM data model, I  see that we can send only json  and not form-data. Due to this the Service Now API is throwing error through data model. I get the same error when I sent json input  in postman. Please let me know if there is any way to resolve this. Thanks  

I am using AEM designer to develop a dynamic PDF form which has a text with multiple parts need to pull data from system and user asks all parts be editable and expandable. eg.The [ClaimantName] has overpayment [OverpaymentAmt], because of [OverpaymentReason], as of [Date].1. if use floating field on all parts, the text alignment will be good, but user can't enter changes.2. if use text field on all parts, user can enter change, but text alignment won't be good, might crowed or leaving spaces.3. thinking to , on each parts, use first floating field to pull data from system, when user click on this field, showing a text field let user enter changes and then write the changes into the second floating field. if this works, the text will have a good alignment, no crowed or extra spaces.  This will rely on the pulled Data from  first floating field disappear. I set it as invisible or hidden after when user enter changes, the pulled Data won't disappear.please help how to make this
