Adobe Experience Manager Forms

AEM 6.5.19 with AEM Forms installed.Does script validation run for the File Attachment core component or is it just broken in AEM Forms?  The mandatory validation works when I check Required.  However, when I create a simple Validate rule in the code editor (see attached screenshot) that includes...console.log('File attachment validate running'); false;...and then submit the form, I never see the specified string in the javascript console.  The red validation error doesn't show up on the field either.Script validation runs on text fields just fine.  I have the same Validate rule configured on a text field and I see the message in the console when I submit the form as well as the red validation error.

Hi Team Currently we are facing the challenges to send filed value along format (fieldname. Value). Please help any way to get the filed value along with format Ex: Filed name is : Tax Identification Number (either SSN/EIN)  what we did we have having two fields 1) SSN (format as 999-99-9999) 2) EIN (format as 99-9999999) & having Hilden variable copying the value but formatting is not copies which very important to identify the whether sending SSN or EIN .Please help here to get the value include formatted (in below case get the value as :111-11-1111) 

Hi all.We are using AEMaaCS, and are currently looking at forms.I cannot find the "code editor" anywhere for the forms rules. This is the editor where you can type actual JavaScript. As a summary, I have: Downloaded a local copy of the AEM SDK v2022 onwards Installed the forms package .far file Added a forms content package to have forms templates installed Added the admin user to "forms-power-users" Create a form with some form fields / components On adding rules, there is only the visual rules editor. There used to be (in previous AEM versions) the dropdown on the top right to switch between visual rule editor and code editor. There is no drop down or indication of how to get access to the code editor. So, is the code editor still there for forms? I could not find any documentation to state that the code editor has been deprecated for AEMaaCS??

Hi All,We are creating forms using Adaptive Form Core Components and there is a use case in which we need to submit Form Data to a Backend API which saves form data in CRM along and also store form data in Sharepoint as a backup mechanism. To cater to this scenario, we are writing our own custom submit action.  Is  there is a mechanism by which we can utilise OOB Submit form action that submits form data to SharePoint within our custom submit Action? Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Mohit  

Hi there,I'm working on a requirement where we have to create a "Service Request Form" via Adaptive Form and pre populate the customer data on page load via calling some external APIs. These APIs expecting "Access token" to give us the user's bank account details. We've created a OAuth Service which connects to some other APIs and give us the access token and now we need to pass that access token from AEM to external APIs, gets the user specific data and prefilled the Adaptive forms.We're trying to figure out a best way forward for this requirement to implement from Adaptive forms perspective. Kindly let me know your thoughts.Approach 1:  Create Custom Javascript to make a ajax call to Servlet. This servlet will connect to external APIs and get the response.Approach 2: Use Custom Authentication OOTB feature of Adaptive forms to create the datasource but I did not find any reference how we can utilize this ootb feature our requirement.Pls let me know your thoughts on this

Hi Everyone, I have created a Adaptive form in AEM. I want to retrieve JSON from an adaptive form and render it in a React application. I'm not able to retrieve the adaptable form's JSON in headless approach I adhered to the guidelines provided in this article: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-headless-adaptive-forms/using/get-started/create-and-publish-a-headless-form. I still can't seem to find the form model.json with form data as mentioned in the article. I created an Adaptive Form with the "Blank (template with Responsive Layout)" (see screenshot-1.png attached) and no theme selected.  I added a few OOTB Adaptive Form components to the form andn then embedded it in an authored page.When displayed in the authored page, the form now has duplicate text for the First Name textbox field (see screenshot-2.png attached).  I don't know where the first First Name came from, but the second is the label for the textbox field.Ultimately, I can just hide that extra "First Name" with css via div.simple.mobileLayout selector.  However, I'm curious if there is a way for me to remove that extra element before it is output with the rest of the html.  Any thoughts?

I have an adaptive form with a single submit button. When the form is submitted, I'd like it to both (1) POST to an external REST endpoint and (2) send an email. I tried creating a workflow to perform the two actions, but found that to be far less straightforward and beyond my current understanding.

Hello Team,       Our AEM application has interactive communication documents and the agents edit IC and submit through the agentui. We have a requirement to integrate with Adobe Sign. I understand that the Adobe Sign Block Component is used with Adaptive Form, but, IC comprises of document fragments. How do we integrate with esign? Do we have to add the sign tags in text object in the print template(XDP)?  Thanks in Advance,Nirmal    

Does anyone know if we can send email in other languages in Adaptive Form (Send Email) option? I already set the translation for form, which is working fine but I want the email to go in FR if user is filling FR page Form. 

I have created the table that having row and column dynamically increasing based on input xml data. but when there is more row and columns, the column contains break in 2 pages rather then flowing sequentially .Anyone help me out is there any property I missed or it can be achievable 

Hi Team, While creating Adaptive form we are unable to see the code editor option for our custom user group.Since we are not using OOTB feature like "forms-user" and "forms-power-users" group because the group contains lot of permission that we not supposed to provide access to our customers. So we like to know the specific permission to enable the code editor option without using forms-power-user group.It will be helpful if we get any guidance on this. 

For some reason, the AEM Adaptive Form Editor isn't working, even with a fresh local install of the AEM Cloud SDK and the Forms Add On. This used to work fine, and now when you create a form and it tries to load the form editor, the page just shows the spinning loading animation, and the web console shows the following error:Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://adobeid-na1.services.adobe.com/ims/check/v6/token?jslVersion=v2-v0.31.0-2-g1e8a8a8' from origin 'http://localhost:4502' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. We've also noticed all of our cloud environments that have AEM Forms enabled in Cloud Manager now are all also exhibiting this same behavior as of a couple of weeks ago. Hello experts,  I have created a form and dictionary entries are present for different locale(en,fr,de).After adding the form on a page with lang fr, translations are not picked up for "/apps/core/fd/components/form/text/v1/text" component on publisher or author (while using "wcmmode=disabled"). Without adding "wcmmode=disabled" to the url, all the translations work as expected.When form is refreshed with "wcmmode=disabled&afAcceptLang=fr-fr" in the URL, all the translations work well.Can you please let me know if I am doing something wrong or this is an issue/any workarounds? AEM version 6.5.17core components version 1.1.27-wcmB004 Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, it's me again with a new problem. I created a so10 text that has a date in it. This date should be changed depending on when the account statement was created.So for example, I created an account statement on the 5th of November, and in the so10 text it should be written 5.11.2023, or if I do it on today's date, this date should be in the so10 text. Can someone tell me what would be the best way to do this?

My Adaptive Form is embedded on page with AEM Form component. I'm using Thank You Message option to display message on form submit but I have a long form. Upon submit, page doesn't scroll to thank you message. Instead it stay on same spot and it's just white space. How can we fix this? I want page to scroll to thank you message on submit.

Hi,  I'm having an issue with implementing GuideBride API. I have a adaptive form embedded on Dynamic page through AEM Form component. I need to assign Email address from api call to the email field in Form so it can be used to send email.  I understand GuideBride can be used and I have put together a code to do that. But the event is NOT working consistently. Sometimes it work the other times it doesn't also if I open Chrome Dev tool then it works fine. This is my code. This issue driving me nuts. I try putting this code in footer, I debug the code. Hello, I created a form using AEM Designer 6.5.0.20190320.3.935878.  Some users only have Reader and we found that they could not save the file without using Print to PDF.  That won't work as additional information is added to the form just prior to release.  I have the ability to lock fields as signers approve, but removed the locks in the attached file.  After researching this, I found old threads where people had the same problem and Enabled Reader.  However, that prevents users from electronically signing.  I am not finding any more recent (last 3-4 years) where this has been resolved.  I apologize if this was answered earlier, but I haven't found it.  Has this issue been resolved or are we stuck with forms that cannot be edited, saved and electronically signed by Adobe Reader users? Thank you in advance. Craig

I'm trying to export XML data from Livecycle Designer-based PDF in the latest Acrobat and Reader (both 2024.002.20736), but that functionality no longer seems to be present. I read somewhere that you're now supposed to do the following steps: From the All tools menu, select Prepare a form and then from the left panel that opens, select > Export data.In the Export Form Data As dialog box, select the format (FDF, XFDF, XML, or TXT) in which you want to save the form data. Then select a location and filename, and select Save. However, when I click "Prepare a form" there is no option export data. Please help.   

Is it possible to populate an AEM Forms Drop-down List component with a list of items located somewhere in the DAM (For example, a list of the 50 US States)? How can this be achieved? Would the data have to be in a specific file type?
