Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi, I have a requirement in which if a workflow runs on a particular private folder (having all child as dam:assets) then it creats groups with the folder name and tag name (tag name is a String [ ] property in the folder schema  ) and then it will navigate through all the child assets and one by one it will match the tag of the asset (tag of the asset is a string [ ] property in metadata schema ) with the current folder tag .if folder tag matched with the tag applied to that asset then that asset will be allowed read permission for that group. The problem is suppose :Two groups created one is "folder tag 1" group and anothr is "folder tag 2"  groupso folder tag 1 group people should ony see all the assets having tag 1 applied and folder tag 2 group should only see all the assets having tag 2 applied. How to achieve that programatically. How can i deny all the child assets and give access to only those assets having that particular tag and also i have to give p

I am facing an issue with Smart Crop in AEM 6.5. When I upload an image, the image remains in the "processing" state and does not complete. However, when I check the workflow status, it indicates that the workflow has finished successfully. Anyone faced this issue? I checked for permissions with admin and everything is fine there. 

Hi, My organization often creates asset live copies in our DAM. I want to create a filter that allows me to show all assets that are live copies, as well as show assets that are not live copies. Is there a property in AEM to be able to do this? Thank you,Morgan

Hello everybody, i am looking for a way to get rid of all the duplicate assets within our DAM.Can somebody point me in the right direction where to find some guide how to create a workflow which could do the following:Step 1: Create a list of all the assets "jcr:content/metadata/dam:sha1" valueStep 2: Compare and find the duplicate Step3: Create a list of all the duplicatesCheck if it is in use - site or InDesign file - if not Step 4: DeleteIf it is a duplicate - the reference resolver should be able to fix this if, right?Call one file A and the other B - they are exactly the sameOne is in dam/arms and the other in dam/illustrationA is in use on 2 files and B in 3 - could the reference resolver reinstall the connection to A if i delete B?

Hello - I am trying to understand how we can link assets uploaded from external vendors into Brand Portal back to Workfront (WF) projects without having to download the assets from AEM and reupload assets into WF. Example: If a vendor uploads assets to Brand Portal and we publish assets to AEM Assets then we add the associated metadata, is there anyway to connect the assets with a Workfront project using the connector without having to add the assets in the WF project itself? (Assets would only live in the DAM, not WF.)Can there be multiple assets tied to one object in WF?If so, will one connection allow for updates across multiple assets (sometimes in the hundreds).

Hi All, I am creating asset in AEM as cloud service using assetManager.createAsset() method but, I got to know this was deprecated. Do we have any alternate Java API to use instead?

I have a requirement to use some images in the Assets to be used in some public domains. I can find only two ways one is the via REST API other is by integrating with adobe webfront selector. Both requires authentication for accessing the assets. There is a share button for the assets but it is loading the assets as a content inside the page. I'm expecting something like I can post a blog or post something where I need to include an image which is from the my assets(a publicly accessible link). Is there any option to generate a link (like https:/{adobe'sdomine}/path/to/asset.jpg ) which can be pasted on browser servers the file without any additional authentication ?I tried with folder listing GET /api/assets/myFolder.json API, but while pasting the content url in browser still asks for adobe id for login

Hi All, We wanted to check if anybody has faced an issue with a decimal value search not working properly with Lucene in AEM. We observed that "." is taken up as "Space" by Lucene. Since it is not mentioned exclusively in the Apache Lucene documentation hence this behavior is odd when the search results are coming. Example:Searched Value -> "0.360"Results -> Document which doesn't have 0.360 but has (35.0) 360 Could any body provide any insights on this issue.

Hi,  I wanted to try a sample asset migration for a folder (5-10 assets) using Content Transfer tool from an AMS instance to AEMasCS. I created a migration set and when I triggered extraction on AMS for that particular set, it is going on & on since long time. When checked the status, it shows belowWhen click on "stop extraction" that is also not working. Noticed below NullPointerException in the error.log   Is there any way to stop this extraction process?

Hello, I had downloaded some assets in aem cloud instance some days back and received a notification in inbox for "file is ready" using which I downloaded the files. However now the notification has disappeared from inbox, I just wanted to know if there is any time limit from adobe for these notifications to persist in our inbox after the files are downloaded? Looking for some official documentation from Adobe on this. We are attempting to completely disable image renditions in the latest AEMaaCS. Below is a summary of our approach and the challenges we’ve encountered:1. First Attempt: Configuration Profile on a Folder under AEM AssetsWe went into the properties of the target parent folder in AEM Assets.Created a new profile with only one rendition, hoping it would remove the other out-of-the-box renditions.Result: This configuration did not remove the additional renditions. Instead, it added a new rendition to the existing out-of-the-box AEM renditions.2. Second Attempt: Using AEM WorkflowsWe explored AEM > Workflows > Launchers and AEM > Workflows > Models to find the DAM Asset Update workflow.Result: The DAM Asset Update workflow appears to have been removed in AEMaaCS.Current Problem:Despite these attempts, we have not been able to fully remove image renditions from assets.It seems that the AEM Assets Folder (properties) > Auto-startworkflow > System Default cannot be adjus

By default whenever we upload a new image, it looks the asset processes, and renditions are visible. How do we disable this feature?

On our AEM Assets portal, https://experience.adobe.com/?repoId=author-apple-canada.adobeaemcloud.com#/@apple/assets/workspace/, how do we modify or remove input fields for these DAM Asset Properties. For example, we want to remove Author, and want to add a new checkbox that says "Paid".

I have uploaded a video file with ".mp4" format, the video is around 400mb size. However, the video file is not supporting. Means I'm not able to see the preview in page both in author and live environments. Additionally notable was the video is redirecting correctly or getting downloaded while adding /content URL it with Live site URL.

Hello, I am trying to add metadata fields in the properties section of experience fragments on AEMaaCS. I am aware that I would have to create a metadata schema, similar how one would do for content fragments and experience fragments. However I am unable to find a way to add a metadata schema to an experience fragment on the cloud. 

Hi team,  We are preparing to roll out our Workfront to AEM Assets connector to our users soon and before we do so we want to clean up the metadata schema tabs. Is there a way to move fields from one metadata schema tab to another? We don't want to loose data that has been input manually or that was pushed from Workfront. Any recommendations? Best,E

When searching for files in AEM Desktop App the results that I'm getting are files that have an incorrect title, but do have the file name that I'm looking for but they don't show. The list of results is a list of file titles instead of file names. Is there a way of only seeing the file names and not the file titles in AEM Desktop App?
