Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi all,I'm currently facing the issue on AEM 6.3 version.We are provisioning AEM using AWS and Terraform.As soon as the ec2 spins up (Author instance/pub instance ), I get a problem that the java application doesn't start.I normally do as work around:./crx-quickstart/bin > ./status > to check the status > not connected../crx-quickstart/bin > ./stop and ./startand check the ./status again.--------i tried one method as well./crx-quickstart/conf > sudo rm controlport./crx-quickstart > ./stop and ./start again.......Even this method couldn't solve the problem.Is there a feasible solution for this kind of problem.how to check heap space:ps -ef | grep java | grep Xmx ( example of publisher, same for author as well)root 12790 12779 8 10:13 ? 00:11:47 java -Xmx4096M -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseCGroupMemoryLimitForHeap -Dadmin.password.file=/var/tmp/admin_passwordfile.properties -jar /opt/cq/p/cq-publish-4503.jar -p 4503 -r publish,samplecontent -nointeractive -no

Is it possible to share assets in the DAM with other websites in WP or another CMS?

We segregate all less used assets(inactive) to an archive folder in a dam path.These assets keep growing(thousands of assets) as we have daily job running which will move inactive assets to archive.To improve performance of asset search it would be useful to exclude the archive folder/path from search.What is best way to do so?

Hi Experts, We have a requirement to save the sort settings in the list view on the author (as in aatched screen) so that a user who frequently uses the same sort can return to those settings. For example, if a user sorts according to "size," the user will see that sort as a default when they return to list view. Situation: 1 Author, 3 Publish instances using a shared file datastore (binaryless replication).What is the best way to run Data Store Garbage Collection?  Should it be run on all instances or really just Author since really, author will house all data?

Hi,We have Dynamic Media configuration and image url without any parameters(https://xx.scene7.com/is/image/mycompany/image) is of 400*267, as a result we adding a preset to increase height and width which makes all images uniform in size. But our requirement is that images needs to be displayed with original dimensions. If scl=1 parameter is used for an image( with original dimensions width=8589 and height=5726, says illegal image size. If original dimension is not possible for such images, we might want to have same aspect ratio.Any inputs on this would be highly helpful. ThanksSrikanth

Hi team,We have sandbox environments earlier setup on windows system. while later envs are decided to install linux system. To align the envs, we'd like to migrate the sandbox env from windows to linux. Would you please kindly suggest formal and easy way to do that? while the data store is about 33G. Thanks a lot.

I am working use case where I need to dynamically add the preset or smart crop based on window resolution.(without using responsive preset) I want to get all presets(url) or smart crops(url) which are configured in AEM then pick the appropriate preset url and update the image url based on resolution. Is there any way to get all the configured values? I have integrated Dynamic Media scene7 Mode with my AEM 6.5.5.0 environment. 

Assets.html not showing folders and assets inside after build. We need to restart the querybuilder configuration to getting it working. GET http://host:port/api/assets/myfolder.json Returns an object that contains "entities", an array of objects where each is a folder within "myfolder"But when I do the same for a folder that contains assets...GET http://host:port/api/assets/myfolder/mysubfolder.json  There is no "entities" key at all."properties" is there (as well as "links", "class", and "actions"), and this contains paging information that shows me that there's something there ("total" > 0), plus I have links for "next" (and "previous" if I follow a "next" link), but I don't actually get the entities listing.Note: on the web interface, every asset has a flag that says "REQUIRED METADATA MISSING". Would this be why they are excluded from the API? Can that be changed?Note: I am a beginner with only 1 hour of experience with AEM! Just trying to do a simple integration with a project management app. Thanks!

Images changes in Master is rolled out to the page properties of live copies, but are not working for component level as lock is open. This forces authors to update images in all live copies manually.  Any way to get this working or other ways?

Hey Experts!  I have a business user who needs to download a special jpg rendition from a PSD (in bulk ~ 100 at a time).  We currently create the rendition, but the only way to download is to select them, click download and remove the "asset" option and select the rendition.   This works, but looking for a way to help make this easier and thinking Desktop or Asset Link might be a solution. Or what about creating a workflow?

Hi Experts, Asset names are being cut-off during upload. It retains just first 50 characters of file name when uploaded from AEM UI, while the node name in JCR doesn't have any limit when tried to rename and save a node from CRX directly. We have figured out a UI customization on changing the limit from 50 to another number, but I'm just trying to understand if there's any under-the-hood technical reason why Adobe restricted it to 50 characters. Thanks.

Can anyone tell me what will be the url to hit on browser so it runs my doGet Method. And yes My servlet works as I have tested it by giving path.

I installed docusign and docusign for salesforce CPQ on my demo org, but i am not able to see any of the fields or related sections under the Quote Document object. I tried to proceed with the integration and finished the steps required on the docusign website, but when i send out a document i am not able to get a response back.
