When converting a project request (issue) to a project, can the project inherit the priority of the request?

Our users request projects via a request queue.

When the PM converts the request to a project (via Issue Actions, Convert to Project, New from Template), is it possible for the new project to inherit the priority that the requestor entered?

For example

  • The requestor designates the priority as High.
  • The template used for the new project has a default priority of Normal
  • Is there a way for the converted project to grab that High priority from the request?
  • Caveat: we would like the PM to be able to override that requested priority in some cases, though.

Thanks, all!

Hi there, Cathy!

As it stands today the template would override the request status, so this will most likely need to go to the Innovation Lab unless someone else has a better workaround.

Thanks,

Kyna
