Create a report based on dropdown custom field options

I have a custom form with a dropdown menu (one selection allowed) that I want to report on based on a user's choice. I was told I could create a report on any custom form fields other than radio button. Is this true? It would be nice if it summed each choice by type but I can do that in a spreadsheet otherwise.

@adrianm - yes you can use custom data to report on. After you create your filters, if you group the report by that field name it will provide a summary option in your report.
