Subscription for documents

2017 R2 introduces functionality for subscribing to tasks, projects, and issues, but not documents. Product Management says they didn't hear from anyone that they wanted subscriptions to documents, too.

I'd like subscriptions for documents. If a person has view access they could subscribe to documents and get updates, like when a new version is added or someone approved the document. That would be great!

    We love (NEED) the idea about getting notifications when someone approves a document. Right now, our PMs are completely in the dark when a document approval happens -- this is our biggest process gap with Workfront! I've added an idea to the Notifications section to add a new notification to the Project Owner when documents get approved (or rejected etc.) but if that's not going to happen then we definitely need the ability to subscribe to documents and have approvals as part of the subscription notification events.

    This is also a major gap in our process. I think a document subscription and/or Barbara's notification idea would solve alot of headaches!
