Previous Month Project Status

My VP of Marketing wants me to start reporting on the number of projects my team (Marketing) was working on for the previous month. Right now Workfront doesn't have the ability to pull the number of projects with a particular status within a specific period of time. For example, she'd like to know that Marketing was working on X number of projects in the month of December 2017.

This functionality would be great, and I'm sure other teams using Workfront would benefit from this reporting.

We have also been asked to report on project status comparisons between months. Ex: How many projects in Planning phase in Jan compared to how many in Planning phase in Feb. Currently, we have no way of providing our leadership with system progress. Real time reporting is great - but we also need our Execs to see historical comparisons.

Agreed. Historical reporting is a big gap in Workfront. Leadership wants to see the progress we've made and YoY or MoM comparisons where current state alone isn't enough.

Adding in my vote here.

Might expand this to really any data element that has a formal "status" field should be logged in the back with a date/time/user stamp...rather than continually updating a single field or only being able to return the first line of data of a specific element (aka most recent).

This would (theoretically) allow for historical reporting across the board during a specified time range.

Similar use case as above - report on # of active vs completed projects, # of at risk vs on track projects a year ago, etc.
