Create a WIZARD for Text Mode API Coding for Reports

Allow me to start with a basic report and from there bring up a wizard to customize it, by answering questions or checking boxes or whatever interface is appropriate to give WORKFRONT the answers and click go and the WIZARD creates the Text Coding API for me - it is all seamless to me - as wizards are - I need more customized reports - but have zero knowledge in Text Mode Coding - so this is the perfect solution - a Text Mode Wizard.

    I need to figure out or find a report that shows a certain task and reports if it was completed early late or on time....where's this wizard ?? I'll try searching....sounds like just what I need!

    I agree, but to start getting error messages when a text-mode report is edited would be a great first step.

    I've personally communicated with WorkFront in the past and they said that they are not focused on supporting text-mode right now. However I would love to see basic formula and editing support improved.

    In the meantime, we've had to export the reports into a spreadsheet then write the formulas in there, and it's been tragic for workflow.

    Thank you for this idea. At this point simplifying and making the in-product reporting more flexible has higher priority on our roadmap, so we do not plan major text mode reporting investments in the next year. Based on that, I'm marking this idea as Not Planned. However, this does not mean that we won't consider text mode improvements in our long-term roadmap.
