Copy a Custom Field

Having the functionality to copy a custom field will be hugely beneficial to the users in charge of managing the forms and System Administrators. Currently if I, for example, have a dropdown with 100 choices, and want to have a second dropdown with 99 choices, I will have to manually recreate all those 99 choices.

Using the same custom field on a request more than once would be helpful as well so we don't have to create slightly modified versions. In a lot of our forms we ask for slightly different information (ex. company A's primary category and company B's primary category. A section break can define a lot and then the same custom field could be used with respect to multiple issues.

Agreed. I've worked with clients where we have dropdowns with 10s and hundreds of options, and they need that field 5 times. We've handled with a kick-start, but that's cumbersome and tricky too. It would be extremely beneficial to have a copy function.

I'm creating a skills inventory form right now and each question has the same answer choices, but I have to type out the 5 options for every new field; which is causing more time than it would to make the same thing in Excel.

We have found the same problem here. We need to duplicate a number of fields between 10-15 times and it has been very time consuming not being able to copy the fields.

It's been two plus years since this amazing suggestion was entered by an extremely talented individual -- I hope Workfront can prioritize this huge time saving feature.... ;-)

We have a field for our player roster each season that usually only involves a handful of changes from year to year. It would be very helpful to be able to leave the core roster intact and only have to delete and add a few names to make the new field.

@Barb Pilarski, for your instance could you add new players and hide the old ones so that you keep the same field instead of making a new one each year?
