Calendar in New Experience Consistent

In New Experience the Issue Details page consists of Entry and Updates section and once you select the calendar the Classic view appears with the drop-down for AM/PM in the calendar. (see attached. right on the same page the Issue Dates calendar dates, you have to double click and select the time and then you have to type AM or PM instead of drop-down like classic, no consistency and this is all on the same page. WE need to save clicks not add more. Screenshots attached, Thank you.

In the new Using New Experience, Select Issue, Select Edit, and in the Entry and Updates section of the issue details, select any dates, open calendar in the second screenshot (2nd pic). Ability to select AM PM using the dropdown. Pic 1

Pic 2 = On the same screen in NE, Issue Detail, Issue Date, the functionality is not the same, you can double click within the field and the calendar appears to open but the drop-down is missing. Users are finding it as an extra click and not consistent with the flow, esp. when one screen opens up as classic and the other screen opens up as NE all on the same page. Having to type each time the AM or PM is annoying. The team is asking if this is a correctable and or work in progress to be consistent.
