Ability to control inherited document permissions at the project/task/request level

We need the ability to control the inherited document permissions at the project/task/request level. Currently there is only the ability to "never inherit document access from projects, tasks, requests, etc." within an Access Level. Since this is an all or none setting, we have to manually adjust sharing on each document and would like to control document permissions at various other levels.

In addition to what Amber suggests above, we should also be able to turn on/off inherited permissions on the folder level. It would be ideal to share a folder with a team and everyone have View/Manage rights to all things in that folder, independent on whether inherited permissions are on/off.

Embedded images should also have the same capability. If I share an Update with attached image with a user who has inherited permissions deactivated, they should have access to that embedded image regardless. Being able to be tactical with where inherited permissions are managed is essential.

Thank you for the submission! We think this is a good enhancement to the Workfront platform overall and this product area in particular!

Workfront currently prioritizes large-scale, foundational enhancements such as the new Reporting experience and changes to the core data model, so this item does not fit in our near-term roadmap. As such, I am marking this as Declined now, but we'll keep this in our backlog for the improvements for this area so that we can revisit the decision in the future.
