Usage of tag in Email tracking

Hello,

 

Please consider above image as reference. This is regarding link tracking in email. 

Questions -

1) what is the use of tag here ?

2) If i try to add tag here, it does not get saved. I tried using already created tag and it did not work.

Please let me know if you need any other details.

  • These tags help you organize and group your tracked links in the email.
  • Take a look at the email tracking experience event schema.

  • Ideally, any tags setup under the administration section are supposed to be available in the URL tracking section. Maybe it's not working. Can you open a support ticket?

Tags in tracking are used for reporting purpose in case you’re using QS or data distiller to create custom reports.

 

Tags in administration section are the one to filter out journeys, campaigns or objects.

 

both are two different entities.
