Profile Cap on a recurring journey

Hi ,

We are working on profile capping in a recurring journey. Profile capping should also work on a recurring journey which means the counter should get reset to zero .But from the adobe documentation i came to know that , When profile cap is defined on a recurring journey, the counter does not reset after each recurrence.

The counter applies only to the selected journey version. The counter resets to zero when the journey is duplicated or when a new version is created. After a reset, the entering profiles take the nominal path again until the counter limit is reached.

So, is it possible to reset the counter so that in a recurring journey profile limit will work .

Thanks

Usha

Hi @ushara3 ,

Profil cap was designed to not reset on re occcurence. The idea was to use this feature for use case where you don't want to sent more than a certain volume. e.g (contest on 30 days and you want to limit the number of participants, IP warmup)

If you want to limit the volume the available option is the  Percentage split

Thanks,

David

Hi @ushara3 ,

Could you please check this documentation?

Profile entry management | Adobe Journey Optimizer

I believe you can define the re-entry settings in the journey there.

Kind regards,
Parvesh

Hi David,

In our use case we can't have percentage split .we need to use only profile limit.

So, i wanted to check is there any possibility that we can make the changes by using the custom step which will actually reset the  counter value to zero.

Thanks

Usha.
